it's about how we are returning to where we came from from the moment we're born -- how the process is dying, not "living", but it's part of being a part of everything, as in buddhism. so much of life is becoming aware of this (and of the fading itself ( ... )

ok, greater now with the explanation. i think mostly it's the eyes fading that make me think of growing indifference since its an image often used for that. you should write more stuff on this idea, or maybe you already are?

it's my first foray into this area, but it shall not be the last. thanks for your encouragement. it's scary to write about religion and risk being trite, obvious, not doing it justice, etc. etc.

wow jaims. i really got a lot from this. the whole thing, and all the parts... not that i'm saying i understand it all.. but the imagery alone is more then worthy of compliment. "my teacup is still
i peer into its lucent waters
and i pale next to it
china white
and i used to smile crack the sky
eyes now dim matches" this part stands out to me the most..
i really love this one.

thank you! yer nice-ness bring smiles to my mouths and tears to my eye. *grin, wink*

and don't sell yourself short. why COULDN'T you understand it all? it's ok to assume you "get" it. i would love to hear what it meant to you/what you got out of it.
