It had only been a few hours since he left. Just a few short hours since Yuna became more alone than ever before, even though she was surrounded by her guardians.
“I love you,” she had told him. She knew he loved her too. He wouldn’t have gone if he didn’t have to. He didn’t have a choice, the fayth dreamt him up and the fayth stopped dreaming.
“Why does it hurt so much, Lulu?” she whispered, knowing that she wasn’t the only person to have lost a love.
“I don’t know, Yuna,” Lulu replied. “It doesn’t stop hurting, but the pain does get less. You’ll find another love.” Yuna got up abruptly.
“I don’t want another love! I don’t want anyone except him - and he’s gone! I love him, I always will!” she exclaimed.
“I know, I know,” Lulu said, pulling the girl she thought of as a sister into a hug. “But Yuna, trust me. It will stop hurting so much, and you will go on.” Yuna sighed and let the tears fall from her eyes, running down her face, reminding her of the first time she and Tidus kissed, when he wiped away her tears. She sobbed harder, eventually succumbing to exhaustion and going limp. Lulu lowered her to the ground carefully, carefully wiping the hair from Yuna’s eyes.
“For your sake I hope he comes back,” Lulu whispered, leaving Yuna to sleep.
