They are all my protectors. I know that all six of them would stand between me and a sword, and I would do the same for them. I know that as guardians, they are supposed to give their lives to protect me, and I should take the opportunity to run away, but I guess there are times when you have to listen to your heart and not to conventions.
Auron doesn’t want me to protect them, of course. He’s a confusing man; sometimes he frightens me a little, but I trust him completely. He’s telling me that Kimahri is my guardian, he has chosen to be that and we should accept his sacrifice and escape from Maester Seymour while he is distracted, but Kimahri is my friend.
Kimahri has been my friend for ten years, ever since my father died. He’s like a father and brother and walking hug all rolled into one, and there’s no way I’m letting him die fighting Seymour!
“I won’t leave Kimahri behind!” I yell at Sir Auron, and run towards Kimahri who is standing between us and Seymour.
“Hey Kimahri, leave some for us!” Tidus yells, and I smile. Tidus will always follow me, wherever I go. Just like the others. We’re a team, and there is no way Seymour is going to beat us!
