Everything is so bright and happy. Everyone is relieved that Sin is gone, even the plants and the birds - all the plants seem a little more alive, a little greener, and all the birds fly higher and longer. I lay back on the grass and think about the last time I lay here, when Tidus told me he’d find a way. There was a way, and we found it - but he’s not here to enjoy the Calm with me.
It hurt so much at first, that when I lived you disappeared, but now the world seems a little brighter. Everything felt dark, but it’s lighter now. The sun’s warmth feels good, I can smile at the sound of other people’s laughter, and the softness of the grass makes me feel at peace.
He taught me to be happy even when I’m feeling sad. I still miss him, but I can look at the bright things in life - Wakka’s hair, the sunrise, and the green colour of the grass I’m lying on - and remember that today has been ok.
