Penelo looked at the mug of liquid she cradled between her hands, and took a sip.
“That is not Bhujerban Madhu,” she told Reks. “You promised me you’d buy me some on my 15th birthday.” She took another, longer sip. “Although it’s actually really nice. What is it?”
“Elderberry wine,” Reks told her.
“But that’s really expensive!” Penelo exclaimed. Reks shrugged.
“You’re worth it,” he said softly. Penelo blushed.
