Life is so strange… so strange and painful and beautiful that sometimes I want to laugh or cry or scream or maybe do all of them together.
Sometimes when I look at the sunset or the dawn over a place I’ve just left, I feel so sad inside because I know I’ll never see that place again. But then I think of Zanarkand and it reminds me where I’m going.
I’m on a journey to my death, and I’ve never felt so alive. The wind on my face and in my hair is just that little bit more real, the sun is just a little bit warmer and the beauty of the world is so much more real.
It hurts to think that soon my place won’t be in this world, at least not as a living person. I pray to Yevon every day that I will bring a Calm to Spira that will last forever. If I focus on that, I can make this last journey with a true smile on my face.
The closer I walk to Zanarkand, towards death, the more I feel alive.
