where are all the old lj friends these days?

it has been ages since i've been on here. while reading about the big surge of trendy ramen shops popping up all over the big cities in the states, i came across news that an old LJ friend passed away last month. he was the former chef of toki underground in d.c. he had come a long way. didn't know him well, but he seemed like such a fun loving

i still can't believe it. seems like suicide gets the ones who seem the happiest, most content. it's too bad his lj has been deleted. i think his last post was him building a bar at a restaurant he worked and joking that he would be spending all his time sleeping, eating, cooking there. he was pretty stoked.
