The holidays are always insane. I'm feeling mildly accomplished, however!
  • Christmas cards sent (except those that need actual trip to post office, like for overseas. Those go today or tomorrow). If you wanted one -- it's a family picture -- and I don't have your snail mail, better get with me!
  • Tree up (adventure in and of itself -- Sprite keeps ( Read more... )

Love you:)

Because work has been on an educational kick and because he has a history. Your Dad should be calling the squad NOT driving to the hospital. When time is a major consideration (and it is--particularly for a STEMI type heart attack) being in the squad reduces the door to ballon time and is a life and death decsision. I'm not saying this to be scary--I've just had a lot of this type thing pounded into my brain by AHA people and hospital people.

Thank Heavens he's ok, he was there when the event happened! I'll give you a call in the morning on the way in. Little guy ran about a 104 temp last night and Sunday night so I'm at home with him asleep trying to get some work done. (but then I took a break to respond to you so yeah)

Actually, he didn't have a history before now. I did not realize it, but he didn't HAVE a heart attack before. He's been on blood pressure medication and he's had some kind of event before, but not a heart attack. When he asked his wife to drive him, it was a blood pressure problem (one that he'd actually been suffering all night the night before). So they got in the car and started the 12 mile drive, they pulled into the fire station a couple miles later because he was worried that something WAS happening. The EMTs checked him out, sat with him for a bit, it wasn't a heart attack, and they determined he didn't need the ambulance, that his wife could get him there just as quickly. So they went on their way. (Or at least, this is how I understand it.)

So NOW he has a history of heart attack. :P
