"Oh my god! I can't believe it!" I squealed with my best friend, Abe Miyoko. Recently, I applied for some auditions for some dramas. Sure, some would turn me while others would accept me. I was calm and cool about that. But what really got me all hyped up and excited was that one of the dramas I got accepted into ... Matsumura Hokuto would be my co-star! I really admired him since he was one of my favorite actors of all time. Plus, I really like him. "To think you're acting with the Matsumura Hokuto, I'm so happy for you~! You are gonna have a blast filming that drama, Yui!" Miyoko said as I nodded in reply.
Now I should Introduce myself, right? My name is Matsuoka Yui, sixteen years-old. I'm just a rookie actress who's new to the entertainment industry. As I said before, Matsumura Hokuto is one of my favorite actors. His acting was so good in the drama, Shiritsu Bakaleya Koukou. I absolutely love him .... not in a fangirl way though. But I can admit that I love him.
Soafter a few days, I was finally on the set of my new drama - Zutto Suki de ii Desu Ka. I was walking and trying to memorize my lines for the script when suddenly I bumped into someone. The both of us fell to the floor and papers went flying. "Oh my god! I'm so sorry!" I said as I started picking all the papers. "It's alright, no need to worry about it," the other person said. I looked up to see it was none other that Matsumura Hokuto. I swore my heart skipped a beat but I remained calm.
"I'm Matsumura Hokuto, nice to meet you," He said as he extended his hand. I took it as we shook hands. "Matsuoka Yui, nice to meet you too." I replied. And so started our friendship. We both had a fun time filiming the drama and I has to admit .... My feelings for him grew, I was having a huge crush on him. Soon came the last day for filming, we all were doing our best to film the last for the last episode. After filming was completed, I walked up to Hokuto - hoping to tell him my feelings.
"Ne, Hokku-kun?" I said as he turned around to look at me. "Yes?" he asked. "You know ..... I had a crush on you for a long time now. So I was hoping if we could go out?" I asked as I looked down, blushing. He only nodded as he smiled, "Sure~ I'll go out with you." I swore I was jumping for joy when I heard his response. However, that happiness of our relationship didn't last long. After a week or two, we were hanging out less and less. I knew the reason why. He was dating Fukuda Kanon behind him my back.
Sure, I confronted him about it but he paid no mind to me at all. He treated me like I was some stranger to him and dumped me without a second thought. He told me that I was worthless to him and that I should stay out of his life. I swore it hurt me deeply in my heart when he said that to me and left. But I made a promise that I'll have him come back to me, begging on his knees.
So, I moved on with life. No need to cling into the past. Over the year, I'm improve my acting skills. I was well-known actress now, almost as well-known as Shida Mirai. I also cut my long hair so it's a bit short now. My appearance and image may have changed, but my personality didn't change one bit. I was still cheerful, hard-working, and kind. I soon forgotten about Hokuto, I mean it's done. No need to cling onto that little promise.
I was living my life as always. That is ... until one day, I coincidentally bumped into Hokuto again after a year of no contact. I was on the phone with my manager, discussing about a drama she suggested me to star in. I was too into the phone call that I bumped into someone. "Oh my! I'm so sorry," I said. "It's ok," replied a voice I knew so well. I looked up and saw him, Matsumura Hokuto. "Umm ... Natsumi? I'll talk to you later," I said to my manager as I hung up in her. His eyes widen, "Yui? Is that you?"
I nodded in reply, "The one and only." "Wow, it's been a year since we last talked to each other ... Ever since our break up," he said. I nodded in response but I didn't say anything else. The situation was too awkward. "So, I'llbe going now. See ya," I said as I walked away from him. Turns out, it wasn't the only time I would meet up with Hokuto. We met "by coincidence" at a couple places.
I swore, my feelings for him were gone for good. But I felt this faint feeling in my heart. I didn't know why though. Soon, Hokuto asked to meet up with me at the park late at night. And of course, I agreed because I wasn't a person who couldn't say no. It was around eight o'clock at night and it was really dark out, plus it was really chilly outside. I soon saw Hokuto who was sitting on the bench, waiting for me.
"Yui," he said as he saw me. He stood as he walked over to me. "Hey Hokuto, so what do you need?" I asked him. "Please go out with me again!" he begged as my eyes widen in statement. "Eh?" was all I could say. "I know you think that I'm still a jerk but I seriously changed. Back then, I wasn't used to love yet but I seriously care about you Yui. I saw your progress in your acting, I saw every drama you starred in. You are amazing, Yui. Please accept my feelings," he said. "I ... I don't know what to say," I said.
Next thing I know, he was already on his knees. He was actually begging for me back. "Please Yui ... " he said. I felt those surpressed feelings of mine finally showing. Despite it being a year and that I moved on, I still care about him. "Alright, I'll give you another chance," I said. He only smiled at me as he stood back up. He then kissed my cheek, "Thank you Yui."
