Wow, that made me want to cry. :X I feel so lame, but it did. It was really... truthful. I remember always feeling bad about not being there "from the beginning" for a lot of my favorite bands, and then I went to my first Kill Hannah concert (it was the free show in Chicago in December) and I met so many nice people that didn't care whether it was my first show or my twentieth. It made me feel so much better, because I really didn't know much about Kill Hannah's fanbase, even if I'd been listening to them for two or two and a half years at the time. And then you go to places like the Kill Hannah community on here, and they just make you feel terrible-- but then, you've also got places like kh_slash, and people are so wonderful on there. =) But, honestly, if I'd seen the Kill Hannah LJ community before I started listening to them-- you're right, I wouldn't have wanted to become a fan. Or, at least, not seriously enough to call them my favorite band.
I'm glad someone was moved by this drama. I'm happy that somehting good came from all the shitty hate and venom. Those kind of people repulse me. Physically, they make me nauseous.
Unfortunately, it's not ONLY kill hannah. It's every band everywhere.
I know it's definitely not only Kill Hannah-- I've seen it so many other places. It sucks. :/ I've never understood why people need to be so hateful when we're all just loving the same thing, y'know?
Thank you... I mean every single word of it. I try to live it. I get pissy just like anyone else, but I've NEVER treated someone one/half as awful as I've seen lately.
I'm glad something that came from this monstrosity made a positive impact!
