Your analogy of tumblr is so apt. I remember reading somewhere about how tumblr's like that fancy summer vacation house but LJ's a home, where you kick back and relax and talk about srs bizns with your flist. But I guess tumblr's easy, it's just reblogging and liking? And my life's pretty uninteresting right now so heh. I'll definitely try to post more on LJ, because I find myself missing the warmth and community (tumblr's cold cold cold, it's like Antarctica down there)

I think it's more that Tumblr is heroin, and LJ is crack. AND TWITTER IS LIKE EVERY WONDERFUL DRUG EVER COMBINED.

They'll have to break my cold stiff fingers to pry my off of LJ, Twitter and Tumblr when I die because I will never let them go otherwise.

It's actually pretty easy to talk to people who's names you know on Tumblr. I do it all the time! and then i teach others how they can do so too
