I'm sad Caprica was cancelled :( I don't even watch the show, but I had planned on catching up with it (still do, actually). Meh. This comment sums up how I feel quite well:
I'm getting really, really, really tired of "SyFy". They don't deserve the name, even if its spelling is stylized. They're the "paranormal ghost huge monster in the lake

I agree with that comment completely, but the writing for Caprica has severely decreased in quality this season. I really enjoyed the first, but am having trouble staying focused during the second. I feel bad for the actors because they are all great, but the show itself could have been dragged on forever and I don't think it would have done justice to the story. I don't think I'm going to watch the other show either, I've lost all respect for "Syfy". Just going to bask in the glory of my BSG DVDs and remember the good times~

Seriously, buy a show, run a pilot, wait an entire year, then cut the show in half only to resume it early, change the night, and then complain that it's not doing well and cancel it, only to buy up another show from the same franchise, so that they can cancel it, too, this time two years from now?

Yeah, seriously, it's like they think they're FOX or something.

Agreed. It's just...they should have left it as Sci-Fi.

And Caprica was good, despite what the haters said. IT WAS DIFFERENT FROM BSG. Duh. But I liked it in it's own right and now it's just...what she said. She put it more eloquently than I ever could.

Found you via antiqueskies ... have to agree with everything said here. While the first half was slower in plot development, I thought the time given to the characters made it worth it (the acting was superb), and I have heard through the grapevine that the payoff is great in the second half. But considering SyFrak yanked it in the US before I was able to see the rest of the series, I can only take other peoples word for it.
