Kyuhyun stood outside Taeyeon’s classroom, waiting for her class to end. This had become a habit for him. He always picked her up at her last class and then he brought her home if they weren’t going to have dinner out.

The door of the classroom opened and Eunhyuk walked out with Sungmin. Both guys immediately saw Kyuhyun and before Sungmin could do anything about it, Eunhyuk had approached him.

“Eunhyuk,” Kyuhyun began, taking a step towards him.

Sungmin had to restrain Eunhyuk from hitting Kyuhyun. “Taeyeon won’t be happy about this,” Sungmin reminded him.

“I’m going to tell her the truth,” Kyuhyun told them sincerely. “I will.”

“You better make sure,” Eunhyuk spat. “And if you hurt her, I’ll make you pay.” He grabbed his arm from Sungmin and walked away.

“I’m sorry,” Kyuhyun said, sighing.

“You shouldn’t be saying that to me,” Sungmin responded and left.

“Hey!” Taeyeon said, coming out of the classroom with Sunny in tow. “Were you just talking to Sungmin? He didn’t say anything mean, did he?”

“Sungmin never says anything mean,” Sunny defended her boyfriend. Taeyeon rolled her eyes.

Kyuhyun shook his head and smiled. “Are you ready to go?” he asked Taeyeon, taking her hand in his.

“Let’s go,” Sunny said.

Taeyeon turned to her. “Why are you here? Where’s your boyfriend?”

“What? Isn’t he taking us home?” Sunny asked, nodding at Kyuhyun.

“We’re actually not going home yet,” Taeyeon told her softly.

“Oooh you two want to spend some alone time,” Sunny said, giggling.

“Ya!” Taeyeon said, covering her mouth with her hand.

“Alright alright, I’m going,” Sunny said, giggling her head off. “Bye!” She giggled again as she walked away from them.

Kyuhyun smiled, but put on a straight face once Taeyeon faced him again.

“Sorry about my sister,” Taeyeon said as they began walking down the hall. “She’s just overly excited about the fact that I’m dating.”

“She probably never thought she’d ever see you date,” Kyuhyun said with a chuckle.

“That’s true,” Taeyeon agreed. “So where are we going?”

“Is this… your house?” Taeyeon asked, looking amazed at the mansion spread out before her eyes.

“Yes,” Kyuhyun said hesitantly as he took her hand and brought her inside.

“Wow,” Taeyeon gushed, looking at the beautiful chandeliers and expensive furniture.

Kyuhyun stopped and looked at her. “I think you’re the only girl in this world who still looks attractive with her mouth hanging open.”

Taeyeon immediately closed her mouth. “How many people live here?”

“Technically, just me and my sister,” he said. “My parents are always out of the country.”

“Right, your sister,” she said. “Are you sure she’ll like me?” Younger sisters tend to be overprotective of their hot older brothers.

“You’ll be fine,” Kyuhyun said, squeezing her hand. “Sulli!” he called.

Soon, a really pretty young girl came bouncing down the stairs. “Oppa!” she greeted, running to him and giving him a hug.

“Hey,” Kyuhyun said with a chuckle, hugging her back.

“Is this your girlfriend?” Sulli asked, eyeing Taeyeon.

“This is Taeyeon,” Kyuhyun introduced. “Taeyeon, this is Sulli.”

“Hi,” Taeyeon said, smiling.

“Hi,” Sulli responded, looking at her as if assessing her.

“Why don’t you two chat it out in the living room, while I prepare some snacks in the kitchen?” Kyuhyun said, gesturing towards the living room. He gave Taeyeon a kiss on the head before he left.

“So…” Taeyeon began, trying her best not to be uncomfortable, as they sat across from each other in the living room. “How old are you? 13?”

“I’m 15,” Sulli corrected.

“Ah…” Taeyeon responded.

“So why are you dating my brother?” Sulli inquired straightforwardly, looking intently at her. “Is it the looks? The money? The prestige?”

Taeyeon stared at her, fighting the urge to laugh. “None of the above,” she said confidently.

“Then what?” Sulli pressed, her eyes narrowing. “Do you want to have his babies?”

“Have his what?” Taeyeon responded, coughing.

“Then what are your intentions? I don’t allow my brother to date just anyone, you know,” Sulli went on thoughtfully. “I haven’t been seeing you in school that much so I know you’re not a queenka, but you do hang out with Lee Eunhyuk and Lee Sungmin. And Heechul is your brother. You’re very weird when I think about it.”

“You’ve done a background check on me?” Taeyeon replied, surprised.

“I do what is necessary to protect my brother,” Sulli answered seriously. “He hasn’t had a girlfriend in a long time.”

“I see,” Taeyeon gently said. “Sulli, I know you love your brother. I promise I’m not going to hurt him. I have very honorable intentions towards him.” Why did it feel like she was asking for his hand in marriage?

“I’ll keep my eye on you just in case,” Sulli declared, crossing her arms on her chest. “To state your positive attributes: you are genuinely pretty, very cute, straight teeth, and bright eyes.

“Uh thanks,” Taeyeon replied uncertainly.

Kyuhyun entered the room. “Everything alright in here?” He took a seat beside Taeyeon and reached for her hand.

“Yes,” Taeyeon assured him.

“Sulli?” Kyuhyun turned to his sister.

“Hmm,” Sulli said thoughtfully. “She’s very different from your other girlfriends.” She then shrugged, stood up and skipped away.

Kyuhyun started to laugh, but stopped when he saw Taeyeon’s questioning look. “Don’t mind her,” he assured her, standing up.

They went upstairs, to Kyuhyun’s room. He then went to his closet to change his clothes, while Taeyeon sat on the edge of his bed.

“Is she really your younger sister?” Taeyeon asked. “Are you sure she’s not older?”

Kyuhyun chuckled. “Sulli’s always been like that. I think she likes you already.”

“How is that possible? She was acting like I’m going to take you away from her,” Taeyeon shared. “Also… Other girlfriends? What…” She trailed away when she saw Kyuhyun taking off his school polo shirt. She looked away, trying to forget the image of his muscular abdomen, and went to the door. “I don’t think I should be here.”

“Sorry,” Kyuhyun said, walking over to her, smiling. He was wearing a clean shirt. “I keep forgetting how innocent you are.”

Taeyeon looked up at him. What was that supposed to mean?

“Hey,” Donghae bravely greeted Jessica. They had just ended their English literature class and the students were starting to leave the classroom.

“Oh hey,” Jessica said nicely, putting her stuff in her bag.

“I wanted to apologize for what I said the other day. It was none of my business and I was out of line,” Donghae told her.

“It’s alright. I appreciate you looking out for me,” Jessica replied. Donghae smiled. “But I wish you wouldn’t worry about me so much. I’ve got things under control.”

Donghae opened his mouth to say something, but she cut him off.

“I know you don’t believe me,” she went on. “After all you’ve seen me cry and everything. But really, I’m fine. Hankyung promised me that we’d both sort this mess out.”

“What did he say?” he wanted to know.

“He promised to have more time for me and he’s been doing that lately,” she shared. “I also talked to him about what he said to you. He won’t be bothering you anymore.”

“That doesn’t matter,” he said, shaking his head.

“I’m really sorry for dragging you into this,” Jessica apologized sincerely. “It won’t happen again.” She smiled at him and left.

Siwon took a very deep breath as he watched Tiffany and her friends talk at their table at the quad. After their carnival date, he tried to hang out with her a little lesser than before. Every time they went out, he just liked her even more. He didn’t want to expect that anything would come out of their close friendship. Why would Tiffany want to have a boyfriend like him? He was a geek.

“You know nothing’s going to happen if you just keep on staring at her,” Seohyun observed.

Siwon cleared his throat and looked away, embarrassed that he’d been caught staring. “What are you talking about?” he said, shuffling the papers in his binder.

“I don’t know why you’re still so afraid of her,” Seohyun said knowingly. “You’ve been out with her dozens of times.”

“But she’s Tiffany,” Siwon explained lamely.

“She’s just a normal girl, who goes to school, talks to her friends, just like me,” Seohyun told him.

“She’s not like you,” Siwon responded, horrified. “Tiffany isn’t stiff and scary.”

Seohyun rolled her eyes. “Then why are you more afraid of her than you are with me?”

“Because… she’s who she is,” Siwon responded. “It feels like no matter what I do, I’ll never be good enough for her.”

“And how would you know that?” Seohyun inquired. “Did you actually ask her?”

“He doesn’t have to. Once a queenka, always a queenka,” Donghae cut in bitterly. “Nothing changes that.”

Seohyun sighed and shook her head. “You two should just get over yourselves and tell them how you feel.”

“What?” Donghae said defensively. “How did I get into this?”

“Stop lying to yourself, Donghae,” Seohyun stated pointedly. “You know what I’m talking about.”

Kibum leaned on his car. He was at the parking lot, waiting for Yoona to arrive. They were going on their third date. He smiled as he thought about how lucky he was. It wasn’t easy being left behind without warning. Yoona had been very upset and demanded a break up. But now that he’s back, which he promised her he would do, it seems like everything’s back to normal.

“Hot guys shouldn’t be standing by themselves.”

“Sooyoung,” Kibum greeted politely. Well it seemed like not everything was normal. He noticed that Sooyoung had become overly flirtatious.

“What are you doing here by yourself?” Sooyoung asked, draping her arm on him.

“I’m waiting for Yoona,” Kibum told her. “We’re going out.”

“And she’s keeping you waiting? Hot guys should never be kept waiting,” Sooyoung went on, smiling.

Kibum chuckled. “I just got here. I haven’t been waiting long.” He watched as she purposely leaned closer to him. “Sooyoung, what happened with you and Kyuhyun?”

That made her take a step back and lose the flirtatiousness. “Nothing of importance,” she said. “We’ve been over for a while now.”

“I thought you guys were in love,” he persisted. “What happened?”

“Why don’t you ask him? He broke up with me,” Sooyoung snapped. “Anyway,” she purred, back to seductive mode. “I’d much rather talk about something else.” She traced at finger down his arm.

Yoona watched as Sooyoung flirted with - no, seduced - Kibum. She kept on leaning towards him, showing her cleavage and touching him everywhere.

“Are you alright?” Yuri, who hadn’t seen what Yoona had witnessed, asked.

“I’m fine,” Yoona responded in a controlled tone.

“Are you sure? You don’t look good,” Yuri said. Yoona was fuming.

“I’m fine,” Yoona repeated. But if this went on, she was going to have to do something about it. She won’t just watch at the sidelines anymore.
