“Siwon,” Tiffany said as she approached him.

“Hey,” Siwon said, closing his locker shut by accident because of the surprise of seeing her.

“Are you, by any chance, avoiding me?” Tiffany asked, looking curiously at him.

“N-no,” Siwon said, shaking his head. He opened his locker once more and put some of his books inside. “Why would you think that?”

She shrugged. “What are you doing after school?”

“Why?” he asked.

“My mom asked me to do some errands,” she explained. “Do you want to go with me?”

“Errands?” he repeated. Lately, he had been trying to spend less time with her, which was probably why she’s thinking that he’s avoiding her. He just didn’t want to get too used to it. He didn’t want to get hurt.

Donghae arrived. “Hey,” he greeted them.

“Hey,” Siwon greeted back. He turned to Tiffany. “I actually have something to do with Donghae after school. Right?” He patted Donghae’s back.

“Huh?” Donghae asked blankly. “Oh right, that thing,” he agreed when he saw Siwon’s look.

“Alright,” Tiffany said, trying to hide her disappointment. “I guess I’ll see you around then.” She smiled at them and walked away.

“You suck, you know that?” Donghae told Siwon as soon as Tiffany was out of earshot. “She was asking you to hangout with her, which is something you should be doing.”

Siwon sighed. “It’s better this way.”

“I don’t know what’s gotten into you,” Donghae said, shaking his head. “Things were going so well and just because you’re scared, you’re ruining things.”

“There’s nothing to ruin,” Siwon reminded him.

Donghae rolled his eyes. “Don’t be so dramatic.”

“Well what about you?” Siwon challenged. “I don’t see you doing anything about you and Jessica.”

“That’s different,” Donghae seriously said as he saw Jessica giggle after Hankyung gave her a kiss. “She has a boyfriend.”

“He hates me,” Tiffany said, pouting, as she slumped on the sofa in Jessica’s room.

“Who hates you?” Yuri asked her, looking up from the magazine she was reading.

“Siwon,” Tiffany answered.

“I can’t believe you care,” Yoona responded as she fixed her hair in front of the mirror.

“He doesn’t hate you,” Yuri responded sympathetically.

“Yeah, it’s impossible to hate you,” Jessica agreed, coming out of her walk-in closet.

“That’s true,” Yoona said. Tiffany was so different from all of them. She was too nice and too sweet.

“No it’s not,” Tiffany said, shaking her head. “He obviously hates me.”

“Stop whining like a baby,” Yoona commanded. Tiffany looked at the floor.

“Fany, he doesn’t hate you,” Jessica repeated.

“I don’t really know what I did wrong,” Tiffany went on. “I mean, it seemed like things were going well. We were going out, texting each other…”

“Are you in love with him?” Yuri teased.

Instead of laughing like they expected she would, she turned a deep shade of red.

“You are?” Jessica exclaimed in disbelief.

“Oh god,” Yoona added.

Yuri gasped. “I was totally kidding when I said that. Sooyoung’s going to have a field day with this,” she said.

“Who cares what Sooyoung thinks?” Yoona suddenly said, waving her hand.

“What?” Jessica said in surprise. They always saw Yoona as the second Sooyoung so hearing her disregard her was a shock for them.

“Are you guys having a fight or something?” Tiffany asked, completely forgetting about Siwon.

Yoona ignored all of them. She turned to Tiffany. “Look, I don’t really know what you see in that geek, but don’t let Sooyoung or anyone else stop you from being with him. Not even him. He’s probably just chickening out or something.”

Tiffany stared at her mutely for a couple of seconds then she stood up and gave Yoona a big hug. “Yoona,” she cooed affectionately. Yuri and Jessica laughed.

“Get off me,” Yoona grumbled.

“This one’s pretty,” Tiffany said, pointing at the pink dress in the magazine that she and Sunny were looking at.

“Ooh, I agree,” Sunny said, nodding. “This one, too. But I think it would make me look shorter.”

“Or cuter,” Tiffany interjected.

Taeyeon sighed for what seemed like the billionth time to Sunny. She closed the magazine and poked her twin. “What’s with you?” she asked.

“Nothing,” Taeyeon answered innocently.

“Liar,” Sunny muttered, turning her attention back to the magazine.

“There’s something I’m curious about,” Taeyeon suddenly said.

“What is it?” Tiffany asked nicely.

“Do you think I’m innocent?” Taeyeon asked.

“Innocent, meaning what?” Sunny clarified.

“Never mind,” Taeyeon said, brushing the idea off.

“Does this have something to do with Kyuhyun?” Sunny pressed, looking carefully at her sister.

“No, why would you think that?” Taeyeon said evasively. “Can I see that magazine?”

Sunny snatched it out of her reach. “Taeyeon,” she said in a warning tone. “Are you and Kyuhyun…?”

“What?” Taeyeon asked, feeling irritated. She should have never brought it up.

“You know… doing it?” Sunny tried to explain as best as she could.

“NO! Eww!” Taeyeon heavily denied, shaking her head. “I can’t believe I just said eww, but really we’re not doing anything of the sort.”

Tiffany looked relieved. “Then why were you asking about that?”

“That wasn’t what I was asking about,” Taeyeon responded. “It’s just… Kyuhyun seems to be… experienced. Although I’m really not sure if he is.”

Sunny giggled. “Would you like to find out?”

“If you’re interested, then why don’t you find out yourself?” Taeyeon snapped.

“No thank you,” Sunny said. “I’ve already got my hands full with Sungmin.”

Taeyeon coughed uncontrollably. “Too much information.”

Even Tiffany covered her ears.

“Hey ladies! Hi Sunny bunny!” Sungmin said cutely when he arrived. He sat down beside his girlfriend and kissed her.

“I think I’ll go now,” Taeyeon said, standing up and getting ready to leave. “My imagination is going on overdrive.”

“I’ll go with you,” Tiffany told her and they left together.

“You’re quiet today,” Kyuhyun observed. He and Taeyeon were at the mall, looking at some sweaters. The weather was starting to get cold.

“I’m okay,” Taeyeon said, giving him a smile. “What do you think of this?” she asked, holding up a sweater.

“Pink?” Kyuhyun asked. “Are you sure?”

“You’re right,” Taeyeon said. “Not my color.” She moved on to another rack.

“So really, what’s bothering you?” he inquired.

“Just because I’m quiet, doesn’t mean something’s wrong,” she declared.

“But you’re only quiet when there’s something wrong,” he countered.

Taeyeon looked at him and pouted. “You know me too well.”

“What kind of boyfriend would I be if I didn’t know my girlfriend well?” he said, putting an arm around her and giving her a kiss on the head.

Taeyeon giggled and held up another sweater. “What about this one?”

“Why don’t you try it on?” Kyuhyun suggested.

“Excuse me, it couldn’t be - oh my god! It is you!”

Kyuhyun and Taeyeon looked up and saw a very hot girl, wearing a tight-fitting sleeveless top with skinny jeans.

“Kyuhyun!” the hot stranger said, giving him a hug. “Fancy seeing you here.”

“Gyuri,” Kyuhyun responded civilly.

Gyuri chuckled. “Is this how you greet your old girlfriends?”

“Girlfriend?” Taeyeon echoed.

Gyuri looked at her and did a double take. She looked at Kyuhyun, an eyebrow raised. “Is this your current girlfriend?” she asked.

“This is Taeyeon,” Kyuhyun said, putting an arm around her.

“Hi,” Taeyeon said, smiling.

“I’m Gyuri,” she introduced herself, shaking her hand. She then looked at Kyuhyun and smiled warmly - too warmly, in Taeyeon’s opinion. “It’s really nice to see you. You look really good.”

Kyuhyun merely nodded, clenching his jaw.

“Well I should go,” Gyuri said, checking her watch. “It’s nice to meet you, Taeyeon.” She looked at Kyuhyun. “Call me when you get bored.” She smiled and walked away, hips swaying.

Taeyeon looked at Kyuhyun. “Call me when you get bored? What’s that supposed to mean? Do you get bored with your girlfriends easily?” she wanted to know.

“Of course not,” Kyuhyun answered defensively. “Gyuri was one of those girls I dated back when I was --.”

“Bored?” Taeyeon finished for him.

“Stupid,” Kyuhyun corrected her. “It was a mistake.”

“Right,” Taeyeon said, walking away from him.

“Taeyeon,” Kyuhyun called, running after her.

“Kyuhyun?”

Kyuhyun stopped walking and turned around. His expression turned from surprise to exasperation. “Victoria, what are you doing here?”

“You still remember me!” Victoria happily said, giving him a tight hug and a kiss on the cheek.

“Excuse me, and you are?” Taeyeon said, squeezing herself between them. First it was hot and steamy, now it’s innocent yet sexy.

“Oh, I’m sorry,” Victoria said. “I didn’t realize you’d be with someone… in a mall.” She truly looked confused. “I’m Victoria,” she said when she recovered. Kyuhyun never brought girls to the mall. He always told her that it was childish.

“I’m Taeyeon, his girlfriend,” Taeyeon loudly told her.

“Really?” Victoria said, looking surprised.

“Victoria,” Kyuhyun said, a hint of warning in his tone.

Victoria giggled. “I’m sorry. It’s just… you’re not his type.” She shrugged.

“I beg your pardon?” Taeyeon was nearly reaching her limits.

“Well, at least, I didn’t think so,” Victoria said, shrugging. She turned to Kyuhyun. “I’m really happy I saw you again. I miss you.” She gave him a quick hug and left.

Kyuhyun looked at Taeyeon helplessly. “Please don’t be mad. It’s not what it looks like.”

“Oh it’s not?” Taeyeon quipped. She grabbed a random girl who was walking beside them. The girl squealed in shock. “Maybe you dated her, too.”

Kyuhyun bowed and apologized profusely to the girl before running after Taeyeon.
