"Taeyeon, what did I do? Why won't Sunny talk to me?" Sungmin asked desperately.

"Oh no, I'm not getting in between you two," Taeyeon said, continuing to walk down the hall.

"Just tell him," Eunhyuk said. "So they can patch things up already."

"Please!" Sungmin persisted. "I just want to know and then I'll apologize."

Taeyeon stopped walking and faced him. "This isn't something you can apologize for. It won't be that easy because it's not that simple."

"Why?" Sungmin asked.

"It just isn't," Taeyeon said, walking again.

"Why can't you just tell him?" Eunhyuk asked. "That way he can surprise her with ice cream and a lot of cheesy movies.

"Because Sunny is the only person who can tell him," Taeyeon said. "I can't do it for her." She looked apologetically at Sungmin. "I think you need to give her more time. This isn't something ice cream or movies will fix."

"I just don't understand," Sungmin said. "It's probably good that I'll be away during the weekend. Sungmin sighed and walked away, while Eunhyuk followed Taeyeon to her locker.

"It's so weird that Sunny's acting this way," Eunhyuk said. "She's never gotten mad at any one of us that way before."

"Well, this is really different," Taeyeon vaguely said, returning some books in her locker.

"You're really not going to tell me, aren't you?" Eunhyuk said.

"No," Taeyeon said, closing her locker. "If you want to know, you should be talking to Sunny, not me. So where's Sungmin going for the weekend?"

"We're going to the beach," Eunhyuk told her.

"We is who exactly?" Taeyeon inquired, although she had a pretty good guess.

"The boys and Yuri and her friends," Eunhyuk said.

Taeyeon smiled. "Sounds like a lot of fun."

"Want to come?" he asked at once.

"No thanks," she said, shaking her head. "Besides, my sister needs me right now."

"It's a whole weekend with them," he groaned.

She chuckled. "You'll live. They're your friends, too."

"But Yuri's going to be fussy again, like I'm her boyfriend," he said.

"You know what to do to fix that, don't you?" she said.

"What?"

"Be her boyfriend."

"No way," Eunhyuk disagreed. "I told you. It's not like that."

"Well then you better make it clear to her," Taeyeon said.

"Maybe I should," he said with a sigh. "Again."

"I have a problem," Siwon told Donghae.

"What?" Donghae asked as he checked his math homework.

"I asked someone to go to the party with me," Siwon said.

"So?" was Donghae's reply.

"It's Tiffany," Siwon told him.

"What wrong with - you asked Tiffany Hwang out?!" Donghae exclaimed. Siwon nodded worriedly. "How did you do that?"

"It just came out," Siwon explained. "She helped me out and everything so I just asked her. I didn't think she would actually say yes."

"Maybe she felt sorry for you," Donghae concluded.

"Maybe," Siwon agreed. Why else would she agree?

Donghae chuckled. "I can't believe you got Tiffany to say yes."

"Me too," Siwon said. "So Hyoyeon?"

"She's going to kill you," Donghae said, laughing.

Sunny thought about not going to the party anymore. Taeyeon had other plans and she didn't feel like partying anyway. Sungmin had told her before he left for his trip that he would give her the space that she needed. He had also said that he was sorry for whatever it was that he did. He added that he wished they could talk when he came back. She sighed and leaned back on the couch. She really didn't know if that conversation would ever take place.

The doorbell rang. Sunny stood up and walked to the front door, opening it.

"Hey," Kyuhyun said.

"Come in." Sunny led him to the living room. Then she yelled, "Taeyeon! Kyuhyun's here!"

Taeyeon screamed in response.

"I'll be right back," Sunny told Kyuhyun and rushed upstairs.

Sunny found Taeyeon on the floor, trying to get up. "What happened?" she asked.

"Nothing," Taeyeon said, clearly in pain. "I just tripped all over myself again."

As Sunny was crouched down beside her sister, she spotted a pair of black high heels carelessly stashed under the bed. She quickly grabbed them. "Were you trying on my shoes?"

Taeyeon turned red. "Of course not."

Sunny shook her head and stood up. "You're going to need a cast for that ankle of yours." She went back downstairs to the living room.

"Is everything okay?" Kyuhyun asked worriedly.

"Taeyeon sprained her ankle," Sunny informed him. "We should take her to the hospital."

At the hospital, Taeyeon kept on insisting that she was alright, even though it was obvious that she was in a lot of pain.

"I really don't have to go to the party," Sunny said. "I can stay with you."

"You don't have to stay with me," Taeyeon said tiredly. "You really should go. You could use some cheering up." Sunny hadn't been sunny ever since witnessing the lip-lock between Sungmin and Yoona.

"But?" Sunny began.

"We promised Seohyun we'd be there," Taeyeon reminded her. "Kyuhyun will bring me home."

"Fine," Sunny said, walking out of the room and to where Kyuhyun was waiting.

"Is she alright?" he asked.

"She's fine. They're putting bandages on her ankle," she told him. "So? I'm going to this party." He nodded. "That means I'm leaving her with you." Their mom was in a business trip and Heechul was out of town for a project.

"Okay," he said. "I'll bring her home safely and take care of her."

"Are you sure you can do it?" she asked seriously. "I mean, I can trust you, right?"

"Yes," he responded with the same seriousness.

"You'll need to buy dinner, ice her ankle and everything," she enumerated. "She loves strawberry milk so that might help ease the pain. Also, she likes coloring stuff. That would cheer her up."

Kyuhyun nodded, seriously taking note of everything Sunny was saying. "Dinner, ice, strawberry milk, coloring stuff. Got it," he said.

"Okay," Sunny warned. "If anything happens to her?"

"She'll be fine, I promise," Kyuhyun assured her, smiling a little. After Sunny left, he walked in the room. "Hey," he said.

"Hi," Taeyeon said. Her left ankle was completely bandaged. "So it looks like I'll have to limp around everywhere for two weeks." She sighed in annoyance.

Kyuhyun chuckled. "I think you make a very cute invalid."

"Funny," she said in sarcasm.

"Why were you trying on Sunny's heels anyway?" he asked curiously.

"What's wrong with trying heels on?" she snapped, making sure that something will be done about Sunny and her big mouth.

"You don't look like the heels-wearing type," he commented.

"And how would you know?" she shot back, feeling embarrassed.

He shrugged. "I know you. So why were you trying them on?" he pressed. He really was curious.

"It's just? you're so tall," she mumbled, blushing profusely.

Kyuhyun couldn't help but chuckle. He couldn't help but think how fascinating she was and how different she was from all the girls he'd met. After all, what girl would risk a sprain for him?

"Did Sunny leave already?" Taeyeon asked, clearing her throat, still unable to meet his eyes.

"Reluctantly and with a lot of threats to my life," Kyuhyun shared.

Taeyeon laughed. "Typical. I bet she even called Eunhyuk." At that moment, her phone rang. "See," she said, showing him her phone. "It's Eunhyuk." Answering the call, she casually said, "Hey! How's the beach?"

"What happened to you?" Eunhyuk said, practically yelling. "I leave you for a second and you sprain yourself."

Taeyeon rolled her eyes. "Why are you so angry? It was an accident."

"You know that you're not the most coordinated person in the world. You should be more careful," Eunhyuk went on.

"Thanks for your concern, but I'll be fine," Taeyeon told him. "You should enjoy the beach with Yuri," she teased.

"Are you sure you're going to be okay?" Eunhyuk asked seriously.

"Yes," Taeyeon said. "Now enjoy your vacation and stop calling me." She ended the call and turned to Kyuhyun. "I'd really like to go home now."

"Sunny!" Seohyun greeted her with a hug.

"Happy birthday!" Sunny said, hugging her back and handing her a gift.

"Thank you," Seohyun said. "Where's Taeyeon?"

"She's not here," Sunny explained. "She sprained her ankle. But she sends her love."

"Oh that's too bad. I hope she's alright," Seohyun said.

"She'll be fine," Sunny said.

Hyoyeon arrived. "Hey! You're alone?"

"Taeyeon has a sprained ankle," Seohyun informed her.

"Oh that sucks," Hyoyeon remarked.

"So where are the drinks?" Sunny asked, looking around. Wanting to take her mind off things, she went straight to the bar.

"Hey," Donghae greeted, coming up to them.

"Have you seen Siwon anywhere?" Seohyun asked, scanning the place.

Donghae merely smiled. Then Hyoyeon gasped. "Oh no he didn't!" she nearly screamed.

"Oh yes he did," Donghae responded, chuckling.

Siwon had just arrived with Tiffany.

"Why is everyone staring?" Tiffany asked.

"They're just surprised that you're here," Siwon said.

"Are you sure it's alright that I'm here?" Tiffany said, smiling at the people staring. "I feel like I should fear for my life."

"Don't worry, I won't let anyone kill you," he assured her.

"This, coming from a guy who got beaten up by one person," she responded.

"I was caught off guard," he said defensively. "Uh oh." He stopped walking.

"Uh oh what?" she asked, looking around for an attacker.

Hyoyeon approached them. "Siwon?" She waited for an explanation.

"I asked her to come," Siwon told her bravely.

"Sorry if I'm crashing," Tiffany said, smiling apologetically.

Hyoyeon sighed. "Okay fine. I suppose you're okay. You're one of the nicer queenkas. By the way, I'm sorry about the other day."

Tiffany waved her hand, dismissing it. "I'm also sorry for what I said."

"You were defending your friend and that's cool," Hyoyeon said, accepting her apology. She looked behind Tiffany and Siwon. "So, uh, is it just you?"

"Sorry, Shindong has this thing he's going to?" Tiffany began.

"Thank you," Taeyeon said as Kyuhyun helped her to the couch.

"Don't worry about it," Kyuhyun said, putting a blanket on her. He then handed her a small bottle of strawberry milk and the newly bought coloring book and crayons.

Taeyeon couldn't help but smile. "I really love this. Thanks!"

"No problem," Kyuhyun said, smiling. "Are you comfortable?"

"Yeah," she answered, opening her coloring book.

"I'll just prepare dinner." He went to the kitchen.

"I think there's some left over pasta in the fridge," she called after him. "You can just reheat that. There's bread, too."

After a couple of minutes, Taeyeon could smell something that was definitely not reheated bread or pasta. Taeyeon got up from the couch very slowly and hopped her way on one leg towards the kitchen. She saw Kyuhyun seriously and masterfully cooking something that smelled incredibly delicious.

"What are you cooking? It smells like heaven," Taeyeon remarked.

Kyuhyun, startled, nearly dropped the utensil he was holding. He turned around. "What are you doing here?" He immediately walked over to her and helped her sit comfortably on a chair.

"I'm fine, you know. It's just a sprain," she said stubbornly.

"You're not supposed to be standing," he reminded her. "I was going to bring the food to you."

"Well I couldn't help but see what you're doing in here that's making the whole house smell so wonderful," she said.

"If you must know, I'm making --," he began.

"If I must know? Of course I must know," she retorted. "I need to know you're not poisoning me."

"If I wanted to do that, I would've done it with the strawberry milk," he pointed out.

"Hmph," she said.

"As I was saying, I'm making Japchae and Bibimbap," he went on. "Do you want some Ramyun?"

"Japchae is good in itself, actually," she responded, impressed. "I didn't know you knew how to cook."

"You never asked," Kyuhyun said, taking the Japchae out of the pan and onto a plate.

"When would I ever think of asking that?" Taeyeon said, rolling her eyes.

"Do you want to eat in the living room?" Kyuhyun asked.

"No, here is fine," Taeyeon said, shaking her head.

Kyuhyun put Japchae on a plate and put it in front of Taeyeon. He also prepared a glass of water for her. "Dinner is served," he said, clearly pleased with himself.

"Wow this is really good," Taeyeon said after tasting the Japchae. She gave him two thumbs up.

Kyuhyun laughed then he saw her bandages and remembered that he had to put some ice on it. He then got the ice pack he placed on the fridge and crouched down beside Taeyeon.

"I can do that later," she protested, trying to lift her left leg to no avail. "Sunny will help me."

But Kyuhyun ignored her and started removing the bandages. "Sunny won't be home 'til later," he reminded her. He placed the ice pack on her ankle and wrapped it with a cloth. "There, that wasn't so hard, wasn't it?"

"Thanks," Taeyeon said, feeling like a burden. "I know this wasn't exactly what you had in mind for a Saturday night."

"Our plan was to spend time together. We're still doing that." He then sat down across her and started eating. "Besides, it's the least I can do. I'm the reason for your sprain after all."

Taeyeon opened her mouth to retort, but found that she had nothing to say. Instead, she groaned in embarrassment.

"Don't worry," he told her. "It'll be our secret."

"You're never going to let me forget this, won't you?" she said, her cheeks pink. He merely chuckled.

She shook her head and decided to change to subject. "Hey," she said. "Do you know the Cho Ji Min Center?"

Kyuhyun froze mid-munch. "Why?" he asked warily.

"I go there all the time and I hear people can volunteer," Taeyeon shared. "Maybe you should try it."

"Why do you go there all the time?" he asked interestedly.

"My granny's staying there," she told him. "She has Alzheimer's."

"I'm sorry to hear that," he said.

She shrugged. "Don't apologize. She still remembers me and Sunny most of the time. But she's starting to forget more and more things. Anyway, when she's in a good mood, she's a lot of fun. She loves it when we visit."

"What's your grandmother's name?" he inquired.

"Kim Mi Young," Taeyeon said. "Why?"

Kyuhyun shrugged. "I just might decide to volunteer and then visit her."

"She would love that. We should visit her next weekend!" Taeyeon suggested.
