If only we were patient. The world, society, and myself has become addicted to immediacy.

Immediate gratification- and we will go to any lengths to have this. Even if it means jeopardizing our own bodies. Or ( Read more... )

yeah. i found i was kind of relieved when she told me she had an eating disorder, which is wrong on so many levels but it put my own mind at ease because of the food thing.
i dont plan on drinking at college, although it is a very social thing. I hate the social norms that always lurk around food/beer- ill probably just maintain it to fri/sat nights and keep it minimal. i need to focus on work anyway...

im going to the art institute of chicago! should be fun, are you headed off to college? / where are you from/where are you going?

I live in Seattle, so I'll be applying to the University of Washington this year (I'm a senior). I'm actually filling out the application atm! Yeah, good work ethic:

This would leave me to believe that if you were to eat starchy foods, you'd 'absorb' more of the calories than if it were a non-starchy food. The whole 'absorb' thing is kinda weird to me, as I can't possibly fathom calories being magically absorbed into the body through the mouth. My idea is that starchy foods will begin to be digested, but so long as you spit them out and wash your mouth out with water before swallowing the saliva, so as not to swallow any traces of digested starch, you'll be fine and the calories you take in will be negligible ( ... )
