Today, being the first day of the week of vacation that Jim and I are taking that we were actually home, we went in search of a cat. I had decided some time ago that I wanted to rescue a cat from a shelter, so I've been searching online for shelters in Boston, and decided that I wanted to at least visit the Animal Rescue League of Boston before

Even JR's style of play might not phase her. She's really crazy affectionate. She was given to the shelter because her previous owner didn't have time to take care of her, so as far as they can tell she doesn't have any major emotional issues or anything.

I'm going to give her at a week before I try to introduce her to people. Jim says that when he got his cats fixed they hid for a couple of days anyway. Add to that the fact that she's going to be in a totally new place, and I think she'll need some time to adjust.
