why is LJ still so annoyingggggggggggg?? :( Serious obsession with FMA fic going on here, and slow LJ makes finding new fodder for my obsession rather difficult.

Yes, that does indeed mean that once again, I've cleaned out an entire series worth of fic on FF.net. Shit.

livejournal is indeed a pain from time to time. just out of curiosity, what type of fics have you been devouring?

Roy/Ed, preferrably long epics (waiting for Saffron Soul to come back from temp. hiatus atm), or Ling/Ed in a pinch. Roy/Ed pretty much does it for me, what with my mentor/student fetish.

Dropped back into HP fandom too, but I dunno if I'll make it a long visit this time around; it's not a comfortable fandom for me right now, for some reason...

i never really got into the roy/ed fandom. actually, i really didn't jump into the pairing thing with fullmetal alchemist. i have a couple favorites: ed/al (love brotherly relationships) and ling/ran. i'm more of a character lover than pairing lover when it comes to this show.

maybe because the movies are ending? nah. doesn't make sense. but this a fandom i can't seem to stay in either. for me it's because of the overwhelming amount of fics out there. i feel completely surrounded.

by the way, i also love the mentor/student thing. :p

I stopped watching the movies after the third. /lazy

I think it's because of the types of fandoms I've been in? Idkkkkkk. How can the supernatural aspects of my other aspects make me so irritated with that of HP? Mmm. Then again, most of the good fic for Naruto and FMA go into detail discussing jutsu/arrays, which HP fics rarely do...? Could be why I didn't stay in the OP fandom too long! (that and the lack of Luffy fic.)

Maybe it's the differing fandoms, but I've found LJ to my best bet when looking for half decent fic. FF.net is a cesspit of badness. Every time I go on there I want to claw my eyes out or possibly scour my brain with bleach.

Have you tried AO3? It's been pretty good to me. I just checked and it does have a small (comparatively) FMA section.
