On Tuesday, March 17, I managed to get myself up early enough to go to Club Embroidery. Jeanette showed us how to do corner designs. Anita Goodesign makes it easy with marks to line up the elements. When I got home I had completed the middle and the right side on my first corner.

I didn't get back to it until the following Friday. I spent all day Friday and all day Saturday completing the embroidery. While the machine was stitching I worked on another project and put my sister's CDs on her computer. (The other project is a LOT of free motion stitching and then some hand embroidery, so I won't be done with that for a while.) I had planned to do the hem on Sunday, but it was later in the week when I got to it.

I finally got it washed and ironed today. Here it is on the table.

Here's a closer view of the first corner.

Here's what the next three look like.

I hadn't taken enough colors of thread with me to the class and chose the best of what I had. But when I got home I changed a few things. (If you click on the pictures, you'll see what I'm talking about.

Here's a sneak peek at the free motion piece.

I'm pretty new to free motion, so this isn't coming out quite as I envisioned it. It looks rather messy now, but I'm not unhappy. I think it's going to turn out all right.

(I'm not sure the photos will show, but the links to them should still work.)
