After brainstorming more on it last night, I think I was likely reading second-hand sources that drew ideas from Ecofeminism, at least in combination with ecopsychology.

There is a strong thread of ecopsych running through Emerson's transcendental works as well as the works of Jung.

I've been reading Meister Eckhart's works from the late 13th and early 14th centuries; there is a strong current of pantheism in his writings.

Wait. I'm equating pantheism with ecopsych. Are they similar?

Ecopsychology and pantheism are similar, yes. I think that ecopsychology is a framework of practice and research in the field of psychology, whereas pantheism is the underlying philosophical and religious movement.

Yay mountains! One thing I like about cycling regularly is that it means I'm outdoors regularly. That doesn't make up for actually going out to the wilderness for a hike. I've been antsy to do that all winter.
