On Saturday, I rode the Albuquerque Century. I did far better on this course than I ever have before. Not only was my time smashing, but I felt really great afterwords.
Seriously, it still took effort on my part to ignore the course, and then to not feel bad for looking like a stud pounding up Tramway in front of the all the other riders.
This course is one of the few that I'm able to invent my own course. Both Santa Fe and Red River are big circles out in the middle of nowhere, you can't just take a side road and cut out part of the race.
And I'd never do something like this at Tour de Phoenix or Tour de Tucson, because we're wearing timing chips.
I thought you had an LJ friend with "fox" in their name. I don't see them in your profile, but I wanted to share this "fox box" with you to share with them (if you like): http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=26521567

But yeah, in my own town, I'll do my own century.
