Title: Bump in the Night
Pairing: Yunho/Junsu
Rating: PG-13
Length: One-shot
Genre: Um… Fluff…? Smidge of angst?

Summary: There’s no way Yunho can let his friend go to a party looking like that. Just… No. So, he raids his little sister’s wardrobe in the hopes that there’ll be something… sexier that Junsu can wear instead.

Yunho raised an eyebrow as he looked his friend up and down.

“A vampire? Seriously?”

“What’s wrong with vampires?” Junsu asked, voice defensive.

“They’re just… Are those plastic fangs?” Yunho scoffed.

Junsu frowned, pouting, as he looked down at his costume. He thought it looked good! He had a long black cape, a white shirt with ruffles down the front, a purple velvet waistcoat and black velvet trousers. It was traditional Dracula! He thought the fangs looked pretty cool, too.

But then… Yunho was usually better at this stuff than he was… And he didn’t want to go to the party looking like an idiot…

Clutching his cape and with his eyes wide, he pleaded, “…Help me?”

Yunho sighed, rolling his eyes, but there was a smile tugging at the corner of his lips. He walked towards his friend, shaking his head.

“What would you do without me, huh? First things first, take out those stupid fangs and wash that red goop off your chin.”

“The fake blood?” Junsu cried. “But that’s how people know I’m a vampire!”

“Just do it,” Yunho said, pushing Junsu toward the door. “And then we’ll work on your outfit.”

“I can still be a vampire though, right?” Junsu called from the bathroom.

“If you have to be. But let’s make it a sexy one, not a stuffy one!”

“What!?” Junsu’s high-pitched squeal sounded over running water. “I can’t do sexy!”

Yunho ignored his friend and turned to his wardrobe. He started flicking through the clothes, lips pursed. There had to be something in there that Junsu could wear… Anything was better than his current outfit… The shirt could be fixed, but those trousers… Sadly, Yunho’s legs were a lot longer than Junsu’s, so it was unlikely that he’d have anything that would fit.

Jihye, on the other hand…

Yunho quickly made his way to his little sister’s room, walking in without knocking and ignoring her when she yelled at him. He went straight to her wardrobe but couldn’t see what he was looking for.

“Jihye,” he began, still with his eyes on the wardrobe and his hands on his hips. “Where are those leather pants you have? The ones Dad won’t let you wear.”

Jihye’s eyebrows rose and she made a sound of disbelief. “Uh, Oppa, I don’t think they’ll fit you…”

He looked at her over his shoulder, eyes full of derision. “Yeah, no shit. I thought Junsu could wear them tonight.”

Jihye laughed. “I don’t think his butt’ll fit…”

Yunho shrugged. “We'll make it work.”

“Oh? You’re gonna help him get them on? You’re gonna help his butt get in there? You’re gonna touch his butt? I know how much you want to. You stare at it all the time. You know, they really are very tight and he probably won’t be able to wear underwear… Oh God, if he goes commando, I don’t want them back.”

Yunho scowled at his sister. “So can he borrow them or not?”

“Yeah, sure.” She sighed, standing up and shoving Yunho out of the way. “Just, you know… Try to keep your hands off him? They are sexy and his butt will look great.”

“Fuck off,” Yunho said. “You know I’m not gonna do anything. I haven’t so far, have I?”

Jihye shrugged and handed him the trousers. “First time for everything.”

Yunho snatched them and sauntered out of her room, slamming the door as he left.

Like he would…! Yes, he may have feelings for Junsu, but he wasn’t going to act on them! Junsu didn’t even know that Yunho liked guys! No, they were friends, and that’s how they were going to stay.

He walked back into his room and found Junsu sitting on his bed, his face washed clean. The smaller boy’s eyes widened when he saw the leather pants and he began shaking his head imperceptibly.

“No.”

“Yes.”

“No.” He shook his head more forcefully.

“Yes, Su, you’re going to wear these and you’re going to look good. Right now you look…” Yunho sighed, unable to finish his sentence.

Junsu pouted. “Fine. What about the shirt? That’s okay, isn’t it?”

Yunho’s forehead creased and his upper-lip curled. “No, no it’s not. Are the ruffles sewn on?”

Junsu nodded and Yunho sighed.

“Alright, hang on. I’m going back to raid Jihye’s wardrobe again. In the meantime, try putting some eyeliner on.”

“What!?”

“What?”

“You want me to put make-up on!?”

“It’s just a bit of eyeliner. Kim Jaejoong wears it all the time.”

“Kim Jaejoong is an international superstar, not a high school senior!”

Yunho shrugged. “Do you want to be a vampire or not? I’m not letting you wear fake blood, so it’s that or nothing.”

Junsu pouted again. He sighed, defeated. Yunho really was much better at this stuff than he was…

“But… I don’t know how to do it.”

Yunho rolled his eyes. “Fine, come with me and Jihye’ll do it for you.”

Junsu obediently followed Yunho, who again didn’t knock as he entered his little sister’s room.

Jihye’s outcry stopped as she saw Junsu, and instead she bit her lip, trying to stifle a smile.

“Is it really that bad?” Junsu asked, looking down at himself dejectedly.

She nodded, a small laugh escaping.

“Where’s that big white shirt you have?” Yunho asked, looking through Jihye’s clothes. “The one you wear as a nightie?”

Jihye shoved him out of the way again before retrieving said shirt, eyebrow raised as she handed it to her brother.

“It’s pretty revealing, you know,” she said. “Mum sewed some string to it, to hold the neckline together.”

Yunho grinned. “Perfect. Also, could you help Su with his eyeliner?”

“Eyeliner?” Jihye repeated, eyebrows climbing higher.

Junsu merely nodded, pouting and eyes pleading. His hands pulled his cape around him as though for protection.

Shaking her head in amusement, Jihye chuckled. “Yeah, sure.” She pulled Junsu further into the room and sat him down in front of the mirror. “Do you want it subtle or heavy?”

“Whatever you think’s best,” Yunho responded, as he imagined that the question was probably aimed at him.

“Alright.” Turning to her brother, Jihye said, “Just leave the clothes here. I’ll help him with them after and you should probably go and get ready yourself. You know, unless you planned to go as a lame-ass hipster. Not very Halloween-y.”

Yunho flipped her the bird, cast one last look at Junsu and returned to his room. His heart was beating faster, wondering what Junsu would look like when Jihye was done with him. He knew that Junsu was planning on telling the girl he liked that he liked her tonight (not that he’d told Yunho who she was). If he looked half as good as Yunho imagined he would, the girl definitely wouldn’t say no.

He quickly pulled on his own costume, which looked very much like his school uniform until he donned a pair of glasses and a cape and drew a quick zigzag on his forehead with some lip-liner he’d stolen from Jihye. He frowned at himself in the mirror, ruffling his hair to make it look more wind-swept.

…Maybe he could do with a costume change, too… Didn’t he still have that Superman leotard from last year…?

As Yunho was contemplating trying something else, he heard footsteps approaching his room. He glanced over his shoulder, but had to do a double take when he caught sight of his friend standing in the doorway.

Junsu looked… Phenomenal.

His hair was mussed, styling-wax holding it in a permanent bed-head look; his eyes were outlined in black, making them appear sultry and seductive; a white, collarless shirt hung loosely on his shoulders and the material was held together with some string half-way down his chest; his slender legs were encased in black leather, into which the shirt was tucked, making it billow out.

Yunho had to stop himself from drooling. He knew Junsu was gorgeous, but this…

When Yunho still didn’t speak, Junsu wrinkled his nose and said, “I look silly, don’t I?”

Yunho’s head shook frantically, his eyes still wide, trying to take all of the other in. He could look at that sight forever…

“You look good,” Junsu offered, stepping further into the room and closing the door behind him. “Do you have a wand?”

Yunho could only blink, words failing him.

Forget the girl that Junsu liked, everyone would be after him after tonight… Why had Yunho made him change clothes!?

Junsu pouted, eyes downcast. “This is stupid,” he mumbled. “I look ridiculous. I’m never gonna…” He sighed. “I should just get changed and go home.”

“No!” Yunho shouted, suddenly finding his voice at the possibility of Junsu leaving. He unconsciously reached out and took a step toward the other. “No, you can’t go. You look fantastic. Really. And tonight, when you tell that girl you like her, she’s gonna say that she likes you too.”

Junsu sighed again. “I just wanna get it over with. And I really don’t feel like going to a party…”

Yunho chuckled and took a step closer. “But you got all sexy.” His smile widened as Junsu’s cheeks reddened. “Besides, you have to go or you can’t confess.”

Junsu’s blush deepened. He started fidgeting and wouldn’t meet Yunho’s eyes. “Well… That’s not exactly true…”

“It’s not?” Yunho asked, stepping closer again.

Junsu shook his head. “I… I don’t actually have to go anywhere…”

Yunho raised an eyebrow. “You’re gonna do it over text?”

Again, Junsu shook his head. “In person.”

Yunho stepped closer again but then stopped, suddenly, breath catching.

Oh God. Jihye. He likes Jihye.

Both boys were silent for a long moment.

Junsu looked up, eyes pleading, and burst out, “Don’t hate me, please don’t hate me!”

Yunho shook his head, forcing a smile, but he couldn’t help drawing back ever-so-slightly.

“H-hate you, why would I hate you?”

“W-… Because… I…” Junsu was wringing his hands, his eyes darting around the room.

“Hey, Su, it’s okay…” Yunho said, though the ache in his chest told him that it was anything but okay. A random girl from school he could handle, but his sister?

“It is?” Junsu asked, voice suddenly hopeful and hands and eyes still.

“Yeah.” Yunho shrugged, finding it hard to keep looking at the boy in front of him. “I mean… You… You’re awesome, and…”

“And?” Junsu prompted, a smile spreading across his face as he took a step towards Yunho.

“And… You’ve… liked her for a long time, right…?”

Grinning widely and moving closer, Junsu said, “Yeah, I’ve… Wait…” His brow creased and he hesitated in his advance. “…‘Her’?”

“Yeah.” Yunho shrugged again. “Jihye.”

Junsu looked as though he’d had cold water thrown over him and he took an imperceptible step back.

“Jihye? No, I…”

“Come on, Su. Who else could it be? It’s not like you like my mum…” Yunho laughed but there was no humour in it.

“No, I…”

There was silence again.

Yunho willed his stomach to settle down and his heart not to break. He felt he was losing the battle. He chanced a glance at Junsu and found his friend rooted to the spot, his rapid breathing the only indication that he wasn’t just a very life-like statue.

Quietly, so quietly Yunho almost missed it, Junsu whispered, “I… I never said I liked a girl…”

It took a few seconds for the words to sink in, for Junsu to lift his head and meet Yunho’s eyes, and for Yunho to start breathing again.

“You… You like me?” Yunho asked, voice filled with disbelief.

Junsu nodded.

Yunho hesitated for the barest of moments before he was surging forward, taking Junsu in his arms and pressing his lips to the other’s.

He pulled away just long enough to murmur, “I like you, too,” before he resumed kissing his best friend.

Junsu’s fingers tangled in Yunho’s hair, his whole body pressed flushed to the other’s. He whimpered as Yunho kissed him, small, sweet sounds that pushed Yunho’s desire higher.

“No, no,” Yunho said, pulling back.

“’No’?”

“No. I love you.”

The worry on Junsu’s face was quickly replaced with a broad smile. He latched on to Yunho again, his breathy moans interspersed with the occasional, “Me, too.”

They stayed like that for a few minutes, years of hidden attraction pouring out, when Yunho felt Junsu’s arousal growing against his leg.

“Wait, wait,” he said, pulling away again.

Junsu groaned. “What now?”

“We…” Yunho took a deep breath and stepped away from Junsu, hoping that putting distance between them would help clear his lust-fogged head. “We need to go. The party’s gonna start soon and Yoochun’ll kill us if we’re not there.”

Junsu made a small sound of agreement and cast his eyes down. “Yeah, I guess you’re right…”

Yunho nodded and quickly moved to the door, opening it ready to leave.

“But…” Junsu began. “I’m not wearing any underwear.”

Yunho’s eyes bugged, the door slammed shut and Junsu grinned.
