The Way

Appear on the throne of Ra!
Open the ways of the Khu!
Lighten the ways of the Ka!
The ways of the Khabs run through
to stir me or still me!
Aum! let it fill me!

I'm not sure what purpose it would serve to have it on the website. We all just do it over here. People catch on pretty quickly.

It should be noted however, that rituals of invocation (such as e.g. the Mass, initiations, or holiday rituals) needn't be interrupted for Resh, according to AC. I think this was in MWT? But I forget.

Nice. I simply think it would be noteworthy in much the same way mosques very often will provide information regarding their daily prayers. It also may assist the aspirant in identifying early on whether or no an O.T.O. body takes this practice into consideration. Crowley's mandate that Stevensteven mentions comes to mind here.

I'm fairly certain this is addressed in "Eden and the Sacred Oak."

Yes, Liber 124 is the best document of reference regarding Resh in an OTO context.

One solution to the Resh/Mass conflict is to schedule the Mass just slightly around the time of Resh. In the old days at Thelema Lodge, the Mass would take place directly following evening Resh on Sunday. This has the added advantage of putting the Mass into harmony with the natural solar cycle.

I am extremely heartened by this post!

Two years ago my deputy brought a whistle to the NOTOCON we did and blew it at the appropriate times. It was very moving to do RESH with 200 people. This year RESH is being factored into all the NOTOCON preparations.

We do RESH locally at our events although we are far from perfect. Recently several of us were doing RESH out in the street as we frequently do and one of the shop keepers came out and asked what we were doing. We explained, and she said it was very beautiful.

At the recent Kaaba we were at a bar when RESH rolled around and all of us from KTO went out into the sidewalk with many others to do RESH. Shockingly many order members stood by drinks in hand and did not participate. Afterwards I pointed at them and shouted you are all a bunch of heathens.

After all the prophet said to "neglect not the four fold adorations of the sun". What was up with them I wonder?

Happy to hear that.

That's a sharp contrast to those who are conflicted about doing much of any serious ritual (besides what they're required) as this has the effect of setting themselves apart from others. Not that being a member of a religious Order would do that or anything.

Afterwards I pointed at them and shouted you are all a bunch of heathens.

This is a great point. Moreover, in this chpt of Liber Aleph Crowley was addressing Thelema in general and not the Orders (A.'.A.'./O.T.O.) which makes it all the more salient ( ... )

I'm glad to hear that Resh is being programmed into NOTOCON. We are also formally integrating it with Kaaba planning, rather than leaving it ad hoc as it has been in the past.

The upcoming Coph Nia Wand has an interesting article about the Resh variations in Diary of a Drug fiend. That text contains some interesting albeit brief liturgical details regarding timing and the call to prayer.
