The music getting louder and it seems for them the night has just begun. She let herself engross in the loud music and drink the vodka she ordered ignoring the clubbers around her.
“I can’t go on with this anymore. It’s tiring!”
“What the hell! Who does he thinks he is! Dumping me just like that! How could he! I hate him!” she mumbles to herself. Laughing, thinking how stupid must she looks at the moment.
She takes another shot of vodka. The vodka run down her systems and it accelerate her. She wants to forget about him. The only guy she ever loves in her life. The same guy that she surrendered herself to for the last 5 years and the same guy that say he’s tired of being with her two weeks ago. Is it really two weeks? She sighs.
A life without him seems meaningless to her. She keeps thinking about the time they spent together. What has changed? She keeps finding her fault. If only he tells her what went wrong, she’ll do everything to make things right between them back. How long since she has a real sleep since they broke off? She takes another quick shot.
One by one the memories of them play in her mind. It’s driving her crazy. How could I go on without you damn it? She crushes her glass, and blood seems to flow from her hand. But why doesn’t it hurt even a bit? She really wants to cry but it seems there’s no more tears in her eyes for her to cry.
She knows some of the clubbers around her been looking at her behaviour. Go to hell! She doesn’t give a damn to anything anymore. He already broke her and she doesn’t want to fix anything anymore. She let herself lost in the misery he left for her.
Worst to worst, she doesn’t have the courage to move out from their house. Afraid, that one day he will realize what their love meant to him and decide to come back to her but she won’t be there for him. She doesn’t want to lose any opportunity to be with him again. How more pathetic could I be? She smirks to herself.
“Babe, promise that you won’t leave me. Promise me that you will always wait for me here.” He asked her to promise one night after they had a quarrel.
“You know I’ll always wait for you.” She hugged him tight.
“Why are you always doing this to me? It hurt me every time we have a fight. Not having you beside me. I feel like I lost the air to breath.” He said those sweet things each time they had a fight.
My ass! How could you easily move on now! She almost screams her heart out. The blood still hasn’t stopped flowing but she likes seeing it. It reminds her of her heart. It’s bleeding furiously because of his love. She orders another Bloody Mary, only to receive a disapprove look from the bartender but he gives in after seeing her glare.
“Girl, what happened to you? Do you need some company?” A voice interrupts thought.
She looks at her left and sees a very good looking guy trying to woo her. She just gives him a smirk but it seems the guy doesn’t bulge from his seat. He just watches her with full amusement. Man! What a loser this guy is. Can’t he see I’m not interested?
“Trying hard to get girl? Anyway, I’m Ricky Kim. What’s yours?” He asks her, ignoring how uninterested she is.
“Solbi.”
“The bloods don’t seem good on you though it makes you look sexy.” He laughs taking her hand and pours a cup of plain water on it.
“Hey!” She tries to let loose her hand but he holds it tight and smile.
“Be good girl. It won’t take long. You’ll like what I’ll do later.” And surprisingly, she does enjoy it. She likes how he slowly rubs the ice cube on her palm, making the blood to stop slowly. It gives her a different feeling.
“See, I’m good aite? You really enjoy it.” He says seeing how she moans slowly when he does that. She just smiles to him, in a way of agreeing with him. Well, maybe he’ll distract me for tonight.
“Do you want to dance?” Surprisingly, she asks him.
She could see his eyes glistening hearing her invitation. Without waiting for any second, he already drags her to the dance floor. The fast beat music really makes her enjoy his company tonight.
…………………………………………
He just looks at her from the corner of the club. She never fails to amaze him each time. Even in that condition, she still incredibly looks hot and smoking! He just watches as she orders the vodka one by one. As far as he knows, she’s not a good drinker. Why the hell she does this to herself? He sighs.
The club seems to get noisier time by time but she still remains there. She looks like reminiscing something. Sometimes, she looks angry, but in another minutes, her look looks deadly to him. Even he’s quite far from her, he could feel how stress she is at the moment. He doesn’t know how to get near to her, afraid she’ll reject him.
For the past two weeks, he has been looking at her from the same spot. She will be there around 9pm, order the same drink, sitting at the same chair and let herself lost in the music played by the in house DJ. Never once he saw her joining the crowd dancing. She will just brush them off with her glare or shouts. He laughs, thinking how intimidated the guys must be by her.
His thought is distracted by something she did at that moment. What the hell! He almost run to her but something inside him restrained him from doing so. He doesn’t know why but looking at her at the moment almost kills him. Why are you torturing yourself girl? What really hurt you? Without realizing he crushes the glass he’s holding at the moment.
Surprisingly, he doesn’t even feel the pain. Not even a flinch was out from his mouth. He seems enjoying it, how the bloods run through his hand. Maybe, this is how she feels. She too might not feel the pain. He looks at her with a sorrow in his eyes. His eyes couldn’t believe how she just looks motionless there, as if nothing happened to her. And to add that, she order another Bloody Mary and drink it with one shot.
A moment later, a guy approaches her. He just smirks, knowing that guy will be disappointed, knowing she will reject him too. But, what he sees surprise him. What the hell? How could…! He seems too lost for words. He just watches as she let the guy play with her hand and rub the ice slowly on it. He even swear he could see she’s moaning while that jerk doing that to her.
He grits his teeth impatiently. What changes her suddenly? He almost lost his mind when the guy drags her to the dance floor. He is shock to see how she obediently follow him, and to add his anger, she’s doing that dirty dance with that guy. He hates the smug looks the guy having on his face.
Without him realizing, he charged to the couple in front of him and give the guy a good punch. He just grabs her out of the club even though she struggles to let herself loose. He’s not that stupid to let her go this time, so he tightens his grab and pushes her into his car. With that, he drives the car without looking back anymore.
“Yah!! What the hell you think you’re doing?” She yells at him.
He just keeps quiet and drives the car. At that moment, he can’t seem to think of anything, all he knows he wants to get her far away from that guy or any guy in this world. He doesn’t care anymore what will she does to him, as long as she’s there beside him.
“Yah!! I said let me go! You’re hurting me damn it!” He doesn’t realize he still holds her hand tightly until she yanks her hand from him.
“Yah! What the hell you’re doing? Where do you want to take me?” She yells at him angrily.
“Just shut up! Shut up!” He’s done with being patient with her. He couldn’t hold his anger anymore. He stops his car on the side of the road and makes her face him. What did you do to me? He sighs looking at her.
But she does something he doesn’t anticipate of, she slaps his face and run out of his car. He’s startled for a moment but then realize that she’s already gone. He opens his door and runs after her. He run as fast as he can, as if he’s running for his life and grabs her.
“Let go of me damn it!” She tries to struggle.
But he’s not that stupid, so he just pulls her closer and kisses her on the lips. She is startled and tries to push him but a man do what a man has to go. He holds her tights, not wanting to let her go anymore. She finally succumbs to his kiss and hugs him tight. Tears are streaming down her face but he is glad that she is in his arms once again.
“I hate you Andy Lee Sun Ho.” She says.
“I know.” It’s all he could reply.
