Translator rants. Feel free to skip.

DEAR SUBBING TEAMS,I know I’m not perfect myself, and I know I am a lazyass translator/subber myself, but I try to keep my English/translations as accurate as possible. It’s why I watch whatever I translate at least three to five times for translation/timing quality check before posting it for the entire world ( Read more... )

Haha, idk, but maybe the reason why some subbing teams try to get the translations out ASAP is the fact they want to be first? Or they wanna get dibs on it. But I guess it really doesn't matter, since even if subs are already out, some teams still sub the series nonetheless.

Yeah, more time should be given for QC.

Hahahaha, unahan talaga minsan eh (pati ako naman, I wanted to finish my release before Stormy did), but I still believe that quality should not be compromised. So yeah. :'D

Kasi ultimately it will be the final output's quality that will also determine how dedicated and thorough you are in your work as a fansubber.

I shall ignore this since I am confident with jumpinfs works......... if I'm the project leader. LOLLLLL.

Anyway, I see that you've been translating alot recently! :o It's good ohxz, better than how you didn't used to have confidence in it. :D I watched Blackboard "Mirai" oh! >:) You're awesome naoxzxz.

I should grab you back at jumpinfs to churn out works for me. LOLLLL.

lolololololol that's the way to go dear XD

Nah, just Blackboard and NazoDi SP :) I still don't have the confidence to rely on my listening comprehension. My reading/writing is still better (which is why I'm doing both dramas since they have Japanese subs) XD

If you need another drama translator and that drama has Jap subs, feel free to hit me. XD I don't think I will likely come back to jumpinfs though... Too absorbed in Arashi now D:

LOL, it's okay, I understand. I'm doing subbing for jumpinfs just for the sake of the team and subbing only. Not really interested in hsj anymore :( But I will never want to try out arashi though, subing arashi works is too scary. LOLLLL.

I'll ask you for help if we ever take up drama projects again^^ hehehehe.

Why not interested in HSJ anymore? :( Hahaha, for me going back to Arashi feels like coming home. So yeah. LOL I agree with you. Subbing Arashi-related things is much too hard and much too intimidating because they're different from HSJ. For one thing, they talk really fast, and sometimes it gets hard to catch up... And they also use formal speech sometimes.

Like Blackboard SP "Mirai". That was a monster. >_< 1200 lines and yet I died a thousand deaths because of the kenjugo. So formal and old-fashioned speech.

I'm not yet done with NazoDi SP as well... It's shorter than Blackboard in terms of airing time, but it has more lines... Roughly 1600... And I still need to time, too...
