{ 027 } ArchCon 2009! ♥
lol Hello friends.
It's finally semestral break. And I'm not watching Libera because I'll be leaving for another city tomorrow. Sadface.
But I started my break in a good way -- joining the ArchCon 2009, an anime-RPG-cosplay convention.
I really had NO major plans of joining, nor did I want to cosplay, since I only knew about the event A WEEK before it. Out of curiousity, I just decided to go.
Thank God I did, because it was one of the most memorable events of my life.
October 24, 2009.
I arrived a little past 1PM, so I had time to watch and observe and stalk the cosplayers who had just arrived as well. THERE WAS THE VERY GIFTED NARUTO TEAM AND BLEACH TEAM AND GIN. ♥♥♥ Gintama FTW. And a very pretty and to-the-last-detail cosplayer who did justice to Misa's character (Death Note).
I met chapihime for the first time ACCIDENTALLY during the con; I just happened to be squeezing myself in between the crowds, trying to pass through. When I looked up at the person in front of me at one point, I realized she was familiar. Then it clicked. It was Ina. That accidental meeting was certainly epic. |D We were liek, ":O" before we realized who the other person was. ¦D
After meeting her and hanging around for a little bit, my senpai, epsilonbrain SMSed me and told me to fetch her by the Dunkin' Donuts store. SHE WAS WEARING A KIMONO. Who wouldn't be embarassed walking all the way from THAT POINT IN THE MALL TO THE ACTIVITY VENUE? /shot
I failed to get pictures of her, though. :T
Soon after that, I left her with her friends to stalk some other people, and in the process, I met doctor-meowzie, also for the first time. I've been friends with her for a little over five years already (dear, remember the Ranma days? :D), yet it was really the first time we saw each other. Epic, yes, I know.
Also saw Ed and Al (Full Metal Alchemist) and it took me so long to realize that the one who cosplayed Al was a senpai from the same school. :T
Nevertheless, my day was indeed fun -- albeit it was unplanned. I should really just learn to go with the flow.
Although I'm really sad that I won't be able to even catch a glimpse of Libera when they come here on October 27-28, I feel that this event was God's way of cheering me up.
More good news, too, for obsessed_makpa, wooden_buttons, ryoma_nakamada and other friends on the list who're from Bacolod and Iloilo -- I'm going there for vacation. ¦D
Tomorrow, I'll be leaving for Iloilo via plane, so if anyone wants to meet up with me, SMS me~ ♪
I'm not yet sure as to when I'll be going to Bacolod, but I'm sure it'll be sometime within this week.
