I haven't been able to write before, I've thought about it but haven't known what to write. I still don't know. I still don't know how this can happen. My sister's baby, Ava Carmella, was born still on Thursday, March 23, at 7:44 pm. She had a regular check-up on Wednesday afternoon, and the midwife was unable to find Ava's heartbeat. She was gone

My mom and I just talked about Ava earlier and ended up in tears. I still can't believe what happened. I wish there was some way we could make it hurt less for Annette and Andy, but I know there's no way we can. My heart just breaks for them.
