1} Dreams- Cranberries
This song makes me happy to listen to. It speaks about having something that just makes you.. feel alive. That something that gives you hope. I love the lyrics and the vocals are incredible of course.

But it's so hard to narrow it down to three. Hm...
1) 'Shadow' by Space Team Electra
Most people have never heard of STE, and that's no surprise. They were an amazing band from Denver and I learned of and fell in love with them through my friend Tom. This song was the first I ever heard of theirs, and I got chills up my spine. The song is all about self-identity (many of their songs are), with a very empowering edge. Myshel Prasad's amazing vocal talents help.
2) 'Hey Jude' by the Beatles
It seems like a trite choice, but this song defines so much love in my life. My best friend and I were both Beatlemaniacs during the "resurgence" in the late mid-to-late-90's, and though I had always been a Beatles fan before, being able to share it with my best friend was incredible. Everytime I hear this song, I think of her, and what she means to me. Which is pretty much the world. <3 ( ... )
