To put a friends only banner, it's just like putting a normal image in a post. =)

To have a 'friends only' post (like this one ^_^) you need to change the date of the post. So when you post the entry, there's a link next to "date" which says edit. And then change the date somewhere in the far far far future so that it stays at the beginning of all your posts.

Hahahaha I hoped that helped (I suck at explaining LOL).

Nah, it's okay. xD I remember when I was new at livejournal, I didn't know how to do it as well. ♥
