Hopefully there can be some sort of semblance to coherency in the plot by the time I'm done. Three chapters and almost 9,000 words in and it's still just set up.

Heh. Distractions tend to be a bad thing. I should know; this chapter is longer than the three final essays I have to have done by the end of the week.

Thanks! The chapters tend to just end up being long for some odd reason.

I'm not sure Dean knows what he's going to do about Cas, but there are going to be some revelations in the next chapter that might explain some parts. Definitely explain Cas' helpfulness later on.

ASH! I'm excited, I'm very curious at to Castiel's motivations. Throughout the chapter I kept wondering why he's doing what he's doing and what is he getting out of this. That and Castiel mentioned Sam and Dean's last name making me think there is some sort of past history backstory but then again their last name and reputation might just be common Angel knowledge, I dunno. By the way one of the snippets, the one about Sam and Castiel being on ship during a raid took place during this chapter right?

Ash will definitely be in the next chapter, as will at least one Harvelle. The thing about the Winchesters will be pulled up through Ash being awesome.

Castiel's motivations are a bit harder to explain right away, but they'll definitely come up later. A hint is that I am trying to stick to a lot of the same themes and motivations as in the show (and tie-in novels and comics...).
