First, I have a
Pinterest! Why? because it's fun, silly, and I can legitimately recommend books and products through it. Also, I am a dork, so the not-fandom stuff is all bright colours and things that make me giggle maniacally.
So more personal, but it's pleased me to no end. I've been losing weight in random amounts over the last few months, purely because, while it's nice, I have no specific goal in mind. I don't exercise, I don't really alter my eating habits, and I rarely do anything remotely "diet"-friendly. But one of my friends has found a fun little portion control thing to help with her diet, and I've found myself taking after her lead on it.
It's weird, but I actually have an aesthetic and weight goal for the year-- not something I've ever done before. The idea is to go from my current size to two lower in ten months. It's simple, and my more health-conscious friends helped me set the goals and checkpoints. So it's exciting to be giving this a try. It's purely portion control and intake, with very little variation to my routine, taking my schedule and metabolism into account.
I sat down with the girl I've been seeing lately to discuss this, and make sure that I wanted to do it for me, rather than any sense of "impress the others". And, really, it'll work because I have my priorities set right on it.
Sweetest thing, though. My date said: "I've only known you as this happy, silly, thing. If you start getting more energetic from this, I'm going to need an IV of coffee to keep up."
