Hm.

After deciding not to post the entry I was going to post here, I've realized that I don't really feel comfortable expressing my thoughts on LJ these days. That's strange, because I used to be very free about it, but I'm a little tired of friends-locking all the time, or using custom groups to avoid giving offense or to avoid talking about things ( Read more... )

I've take hiatus-i (??) from online posting, diaryland, but still. =) I'm sorry you feel unable to truly express yourself. We're fortunate enough to live in a place and era where it is getting easier to do so all the time. Perhaps you could create another lj, or use your old d-land one as a place to put thoughts you're not sure you want to share. I think it's sad that you feel moved to lock posts. People who read this are either already your friend or a curious passer-by. Friends may disagree, but we control our emotions. If someone doesn't like something they read, they can react, but it is still their issue. I'm just starting to learn this lesson now. Besides, if someone gets that upset over your personal opinion, then they need to rethink the meaning of friendship. If people are pissy and not someone you know, who cares? A lot of times, we write replies to provide another view or an answer. In any case, we are trying to communicate. That would be sooooooooooooo cool!!!!!!! =) You have her bubbly personality down flat! And we'll John is damn sexy, and my thinking he is ;) it would work well.

- now to see if I can con him into. This is gonna be a challenge.
He's near impossible to fool.

Just like a certain, Armani-clad assassin.

It was awesome seeing you at the wedding!! Wheeeeeeee!!

And I totally understand what you mean ... I haven't written about any of my sincerest feelings in epochs. I guess there's a time and a place for stuff, and cyberspace just ain't it all the time. Anyhoo, hope you are doing well! Drop me a line sometime :)

Awwww, we'll miss you. But I know what you mean - every time I read a book discussing Internet communities and such, I realise how public this all is.

And what's this about you having been to Otakon? *ears prick up* ^____^

I'll be back eventually, just not for a little while. :) And yeah, I was at Otakon last year... this year I had to move to a new apartment on that weekend, but I definitely want to go again. You should come next year! Maybe we can finally have our Sakura Board meeting party! :)
