Mason neck-grabbing his son and pulling him in for a hug, then shouting at him to leave.GEORGE! GEORGE! I MISS GEORGE! I loved that moment. Normally moments like that are manipulative and saccharine, but the two actors pulled it amazinly. I will always remember the look on Mason's son's face when he realized what was going on. "Son of a bi--" and it just tore my heart out. And yes, the hug. I love that moment so much

George Mason is probably my favorite secondary (tertiary?) character of the show. He was just... he was snarky, he was dishonest, but he wasn't bad. And you're right, it was the kind of thing that is MEANT to be a tearjerker, and is, but that they did an incredible job with it. I wonder where that kid ever went who played his son... he was pretty cool.
Chapelle, I was always amusedly irritated by... his snippy attempts to reestablish authority were really cute. Like someone said on TWoP, he was like the assistant vice principal of CTU High. :P But I loved how, toward the end, we got glimpses of the competence that had gotten him where he is, and geez. The scene on the roof was chilling. I believed, up til the moment Jack did it, that they'd find a way to save him. But getting your hopes up and then ripping your heart out is what this show does best.
I love shows that I can cry at one minute and snark over the next. :) It's why 24 was such a gut-punch at times... because you're like, "Dude! This is a cheesy thriller show! You're not

im hoping that this season they put a little counter in each bottom corner of the screen - one for the number of people he kills in that episode and one for tortures;) it should count higher each episode too.
