Aw, that was lovely. Very funny to begin with, and I loved Arthur's perspective, the arrogance he clothes himself in so that he can continue being who he is, his loyalty and heart and ultimate compassion for Merlin. Really enjoyed it.

That was actually kind of what made the story; I really wanted to see Arthur blaming himself for not noticing more than Merlin for not telling him in a fic, because Merlin is his responsibility after all and can't be trusted to know what's best for him. So I decided to write one. Then a friend mentioned it being like not noticing a pet being sick, and then it turned into a horse with a Scottish accent. So. Um. I'm glad you thought it worked!
