Tutorial #2: Tora from Alice nine

to

Made in Photoshop CS2. Translatable? No. PSD included.

1. Prepare your base, crop/sharpen/anything you usually do to prepare them. I'm using this Tora image from Alpha album scanned by rainbowbetty. The original images is actually bright enough so I don't screen it.

-->

2. Create a colorfill layer with #08112e then set to Exclusion with 100% opacity.

-->

3. Create a colorfill layer with #fcf5e3 then set to Multiply with 100% opacity.

-->

4. Create another colorfill layer with #66aad1 then set to Soft Light with 100% opacity.

-->

5. Add a selective color layer with these setting:
REDS: -100 +48 +49 +43
YELLOWS: +100 0 -100 0
CYANS: -53 0 -12 +50
NEUTRALS: +19 +3 -5 +11
BLACKS: 0 0 0 +100

-->

6. Create another colorfill layer with #b78e8e then set to Soft Light with 100% opacity.

-->

7. Add a selective color layer with these setting:
REDS: -80 +81 +90 +100
YELLOWS: +44 0 -100 0
BLUES: 0 0 0 +23
NEUTRALS: +16 -5 -14 -14

-->

8. Add a color balance layer with these setting:
MIDTONES: +41 +15 +11
SHADOWS: -31 -5 -5
HIGHLIGHTS: -1 -1 -1

-->

9. Add a selective color layer. Works only in the REDS part because I want to enchance the reds more. However, this step is completely optional. Setting: REDS: -69 +35 +37 +1

-->

10. Create a colorfill layer with #e38787 then set to Soft Light with 55% opacity.

-->

11. Add a selective color layer with these setting:
WHITES: +35 +1 -2 0
NEUTRALS: +46 -9 -13 +22
BLACKS: 0 0 0 +14

-->

12. Now, it's time to increase the color. Add a Hue/Saturation layer and put up these settings:
MASTER: 0 +21 0
REDS: +2 +6 0
CYANS: 0 +14 0
BLUES: 0 +10 0

-->

13. Go all the way back to the bottom until you find your base, duplicate it then drag your duplicated base to the top of all layer and set it into 90% Soft Light.

-->

14. Add this texture by worship-elle then set to 100% Linear Burn.

-->

15. Lastly, add this texture by threeeyespei then set to 100% Linear Burn. And you're done!

-->

Note in mind that this tutorial won't turn out nice with every base. You'll need to play around with all those settings to get it work and if you have any question just tell me ^^ I'd love to see your result!

Other results (with occasional changes though, all base cropped from Alice Nine's Alpha album scans by rainbowbetty):
