1. What did you do in 2004 that you'd never done before?
I moved in with my boyfriend. I also reached the one year mark with him.

2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I didn't make any, so... yes!

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Nope. Yay!

4. Did anyone close to you die?
Nope. Yay!

5. What countries did you visit?
None. I went nowhere.

6. What would you like to have in 2005 that you lacked in 2004?
A college education. Or at least, the start of one.

7. What date from 2004 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
No particular dates stand out for me this year... I guess that could be good or bad.

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Finishing high school... there was a long time there where I didn't think I'd ever go back.

9. What was your biggest failure?
Getting evicted. But that wasn't really my fault. Getting the power and phone cut off... that was my fault. But not the evicting part.

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Not anything major, but I was just thinking today that I NEVER got sick as a kid. Now I get sick like... every other week.

11. What was the best thing you bought?
A cat! What a bargain he turned out to be.

12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
archlight0. He truly uses his powers for good.

13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
Someone who wasn't worth all the trouble and bad feelings.

14. Where did most of your money go?
Food. So much money for food.

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Moving. I waited SO LONG! Okay, six months.

16. What song will always remind you of 2004?
Hrmm... probably "I'll Fall With Your Knife". That, or the Shrek 2 soundtrack.

17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
i. happier or sadder? Way, way, WAY happier. I'm the happiest I've ever been. Maximum happy.
ii. thinner or fatter? Oh, I don't know... probably fatter.
iii. richer or poorer? Um... richer, if you go in for that whole "what's yours is mine" thing...

18. What do you wish you'd done more?
Called my dad.

19. What do you wish you'd done less of?
Ate food.

20. How will you be spending Christmas?
Without my family, for the first time ever... just my boyfriend and my cat.

21. Did you fall in love in 2004?
Well, pretty damn close...

22. How many one-night stands?
Not a one.

23. What was your favorite TV program?
The Apprentice. I've been shamed.

24. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
No... I hated way more people last year.

25. What was the best book you read?
Um... hmmm. A Series of Unfortunate Events, Book the First.

26. What was your greatest musical discovery?
Probably Beck. I know, I'm a little late jumping on that bandwagon, so to speak.

27. What did you want and get?
Love and a cat.

28. What was your favorite film of this year?
Lost in Translation, I guess... though I only saw it once.

29. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
I turned 21... I can't remember what I did. I think we had a barbeque.

30. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
To have started college. Oh well, next year.

31. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2004?
... in a word... threadbare.

32. What kept you sane?
Nothing. I don't think I was sane to begin with. Damn hallucinogenic mushrooms.

33. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
Paul Giamatti. He's still the man, in my books.

34. What political issue stirred you the most?
The US election, I guess. Oh, and the Canadian election, of course! hehe.

35. Who did you miss?
My family.

36. Who was the best new person you met?
Troy's friends, collectively.

There's love, and then there's actual love.
