I'm updating from my brand spankin' new laptop =) I've never owned a laptop before, so you can imagine the excitement I feel right now.  It was a choice between this and a Mac, but seeing that I am pretty much technology handicapped it would take me years to learn how to fully operate a Mac.  I am much too comfortable with PCs to make the switch to

i wanted to get a mac but then i noticed that there was so much dead space in the keyboard area and you couldn't turn off the mousepad area while you typed
so i got a pretty HP instead

having said that the mac's video edit program (ilife) and the powerpoint presentation program (keynote) kicks so much ass, it's the only think about apple i like

Oh that sucks with the mousepad. My laptop is from Dell and it's pretty, too! I got to choose the casing, and I chose purple with cherry blossoms on it =)

like meee.... thats why i totally switched over. plus it was alot easier than either deleting.. or blocking off previous journals... aaaand it was an easier way of doing a clean sweep of friends LOL
