Copic (コピック, Kopikku?) is a brand of marker made in Japan by Too and distributed in the United States and Canada by Imagination International. The markers are available in 322 colors and are refillable. The inks used to refill the markers can be mixed to create new colors, and empty markers are sold for this purpose. Also there is an airbrush system available.
XD;;; They cost like, 4 bucks to 5.85 each! ;w; Gwah. The Ciao ones are 4 bucks, though. :)
Hullo Liam! (: And yup they do! It's thicker and smoother than regular paper, so copic ink stays on the surface long enough to blend colours together~ ^____^ They soak through immediately on regular paper, so the colourless blender botches up the colours when it's applied. D:
interesting, okay... the only kind of thing like that I have is illustration board, which is pretty good, but as for actual paper the only high quality stuff you can get here absorbs ink/watercolours etc pretty fast from my experience, but multiple washes get a nice layered effect, at least I think so.
aaa, how'd you go about doing multiple washes? I am a lousy painter, darn! XD;
I haven't actually used my manga paper yet, 'cos it's kinda costly and thus precious, so.. Been copicking using different types of paper; some can absorb a pretty large amount of ink, so I don't go out of the lines, another I tried gave me a crayon-like effect. (:
Since I haven't got to using the proper sorta paper, I've been using my colourless blender to either correct mistakes, or add a tear-like effect. ^_____^
