As she took up the next one in line, Ms Ward picked up the previous jacket and began to scrutinise the handiwork closely. She ran her fingers over the stitching, feeling the uneven gaps between the loops of thread. She set the coat down, walking down the succession of benches to check the last few collars this woman had worked on.
I could see it vividly before my eyes! Wonderful! But I did love Ms Ward. She seems like such an interesting character. - What happened to her, that she is as she is? A deeply unhappy woman, but what's her story? Mhhhmhm.
You should post more stories, you have an awesome writing style. (And by the way - how's your SPN fic doing? *g* I can't help it, sorry, I'm really excited!)
You don't know how glad i am you like this! I was a bit worried that it was just.. wrong, i guess. Like, sometimes when i'm writing (or even talking) i feel like i know what i want to say, but maybe i'm not seeing or hearing what's really there. Like my eyes see me typing something that makes perfect sense, but in reality, i'm actually typing something that doesn't make sense at all

No, no, Ms Ward was spot on in this little ficlet, it's just me who likes to wonder about the 'outsiders' most. Even if Ms Ward is, by definition, the most powerful, mighty character here, she clearly also is the odd one out. So, you know. Kind of like Nurse Ratched from One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. Don't know if you know the film, but she is so, so creepy. Kind of makes you wonder.
But anyway, sorry that you haven't had the time to work on your fic much. I kind of feel bad about that because I have so much time to spare, and all of you people on LJ or otherwise are working so hard. *g* Did I already ask you what your fic will be about, exactly? So, you know, I can steal your plot and write the fic myself and get all the glory. :)
I haven't actually seen that movie! I'll have to chase it down. She definitely does need more of a background if this story is going to become something bigger, so i'll keep her in the works..
LOL, you don't have to feel sorry! I think we might have talked about it a little bit, but i don't remember how much. Its supposed to pick up right from where "Lucifer Rising" left off. Thankfully the plot is all planned, so if anything coincides with what actually happens in season 5, i won't be blamed for plaguarism because i already had it worked out! But yeah, its just supposed to be post-season 4. Show the results of Lucifer being freed and how they battle the apocalypse.
