You're not responsible for anyone's attitudes but your own ... and even then, you can only strive to live up to your own ideals.
If you're trying to "hate the sin but love the sinner," I don't see the need for you to feel dirty just because you know someone who's filled with hatred for people of certain groups.
I've known her for what, 12, 13 years now. And while I'd noticed the anti semitic reactions in her, carefully muted though, I never paid much attention because you know, she was kind of a regular person, Roman Catholic, with pet dogs, and fond of nice wine and bacon and salt pork and summery latin clothing etc. etc. But recently the islamophilia has been growing in her just as more and more atrocities are happening all over everywhere in the name of islam. I found that a little hard to accept, having read the koran in entirety, which hasn't exactly produced a favourable impression on me. Several parts of it are completely vile, actually
