Traveller memories

Ahhh, the original black box Traveller, I remember it well! We played it off an on during my freshman year in college. There was the absolute futility of trying to get a Scout to survive character generation long enough to get a free ship. My (future) brother-in-law eventually just decided to muster his character out after barely surviving one term. Unfortunately, this only gave him something like a Pilot 1, and most companies wouldn't even hire him to pilot their launches, much less their actual transports. I on the other hand went the Rogue route, and rolled quite nicely to get a Medic 5. Everyone wanted to be my friend!

I can't remember any character of mine, but I do remember that the captain in one game had lost his arm and had it replaced by a Swiss multi-tool attachment--and one of those was Trithelian Kinky Sex Device (tm).
