I can't believe that this is even an issue any more. I can't believe they only renewed it for 25 years. And I can't wait to see what the responses from European and other countries are. We are so friggin' backwards.

I don't think many European nations would have much of a position to criticise from right now. They've got their own race relation problems. Riots in France and Denmark, anti-Turkish sentiment in Germany (similar to the US's relations with Mexicans), growing racism in the UK. It's a problem that should be dead, but unfortunately isn't.
