The cat was named before I got her. Since she seemed to respond to her name, I opted not to change it. Even now that she’s far to roly-poly for Mu to really apply. She was a little kitty when I got her...

The car is my fault, but the name seemed to stick-I think it’s that Milli also conjures up an image of a grey haired grandma, who is exactly ( Read more... )

Never played Mille Bornes? Wow... I woulda thunk that...

Anyway, like I mentioned before, I obtained multiple years' of This American Life from da_lj, and I am more than willing to share. Also, let me know how our music collections overlap sometime... e.g., Complete Works of King Crimson is on my hard drive.

oooh, even back to the Court of the Crimson King?

I'll be hosed on big band-- most of my stuff is on vinyl. But as far as transfer from Compact Disc to C Drive, I still haven't made it very far into the alphabet. [The windows 2000/iTunes 4.0 issue is not helping]. I'd love to check out your classical selections, though it's hard to listen to anything with a wide dynamic range on the train... and of course, I would never violate any (cough, cough) copyright stuff. I'm still kinda irked about that "copyright controlled" CD-- I'm not trying to copy it, dammit, I'm just trying to play the tunes on my iPod! @#$!!

Oh ipod... pretty soon you will be addicted. And that will be the end of any activity without music. If you every wanted anything (as I have over 2000 songs... be envious...) I could do some wonderful transfers via flash drive...

I like coldplay when I am on trains. It's very nice.

we should hang out soon? maybe I can come visit you somewhere this weekend? There's a giant pumpkin carving fest in B-town on Saturday night, if you're interested....

oops, missed it.

Factor 1: Head of the Charles means driving in Boston is suicidal. We almost got hit on Friday night when someone drove directly toward us, which was especially disturbing because we were on a one-way access ramp. I'm not even sure how he got on it...I think he figured it after he passed us-- I saw his brake lights go on... Anyway, it's scary out there.

Factor 2: Crazy Sox Fans who don't have Fast Lane transponders and turn the pike into a parking lot.

Factor 1 + Factor 2 = I planned to avoid Boston. And since I was gonna be home anyway, I might as well watch the game, right?
