Hope you have a good 4th too!

All depends on you. I started Luke a little early on milk because we were going on a trip and I didn't want to have to pack formula, so he started at 11 months without a reaction. Formula is the norm. Also, water and juice (100%). They do sell bottled water in mexico. She may be on regular food by then, but you might want baby food with you just to be sure she's safe, if she'll eat it at that time. Some babies are particular about what they'll eat at that age, so you might have to wait until you're closer to then.

Your right, I'll probably just have to wait. I don't know what would be easier. RTF formula or trying to find milk down there that I would be comfortable giving here. We are just going to have to be very careful. I know that no matter how careful I am in Mexico not to drink the water, to brush my teeth with bottled and to only drink beer :), I still end up getting a little sick.

I was told to wait until Henry was one year old before I gave him milk beacuse of a possible reaction...but I will probably give him a little next month when he turns 11 months old to see how he tolerates it..
It's so hard to predict what they'll be eating at a certain age. I was so sure Henry would be eating more solid table food by now (still pretty much chopped up)..but at 10+ months, he JUST started eating finger foods instead of playing with them...so next month, who knows?! :)
