So the place is looking better now that the DVD and CD shelves are up. Taking up nealy an entire wall I might add. Just got to set up the music corner, wait for that darned book shelf, put up the books and then find spots for all the random crap. It's a nice place. I like it. It's comfortable. I find myself continually wishing I was coming home to ( Read more... )

Yeah Comp Lit is Comparative Literature. It's what I'm majoring in. For me it's like, if you liked English, then this is ten times better because it doesn't only focus on the literature, it also looks at the artwork and scientific and political stuff that's going on at the time. So you get to see the literature in context. Plus you get to read more than just English authors so you get a sense of a lot of other cultures and whatnot. It's freaking hard though!
I have yet to cook my own Thai food but I have the ingredients in the cupboard. I just really love it so I want to try doing it myself. I love love love Thai curries so I got really excited when I found the curry pastes.

I think studies in lit from highschool was interesting and one of the units we studied is kind of related to what you are saying about comp lit. OH that sounds like fun, I would like to read and discuss authors from other cultures, im kind of a bad reader with older books so i hope i improve
I also love thai food too, in the summer, my friend christina and I ate thai food a lot. lol we've tried some bad fast food variations though, another time I ordered "super spicey" (menu only listed up to "spicey") and I think they put the whole bottle in it. It was still good though but my friend wasn't used to that much spice. I hope your cooking turns out good :)

Sounds like you're really gettin settled in to your new place. I'm done putting stuff in my room, anything else and I don't think I'd have room to move. As for the bar, I never really saw you as a bar person, I always figured you'd be more into the pub atmosphere. Anyway, beginner italian sounds awesome, I'm taking beginner spanish, my teacher is crazy so it's really entertaining! I also love business ethics, I highly suggest you take an ethics class if you ever get a chance to I think you'd really enjoy it! And I'm on the same page with you in accordance to second year, they seem to just immerse you into the subject right away and think that everyone is on the same level. In any case I wish you the best of luck!

How many people are you living with? Languages are fun fun. Maybe I'll take an ethics class but considering I've only got one elective in the next two years, it will be a tough choice. I was thinking bout you the other day, hope you're doing well.
