I wandered (slowly) out of the house today in my new coat and found a tiny hair salon less than a block away; it's situated where a barber shop with a cult following had been for ages. Haircuts are magical, it is known! Too bad there are no good hairdressers in hole-in-the-wall places around here, tiny corner shop usually means the most basic service, albeit cheap.

Glad you had such a positive experience, and that you're doing marginally better. Hope your pain levels continue to improve! And it's very good to hear you're working on compiling another book, that's wonderful.

I've found two small places in this city that are actually very good, and I've heard there are more. Maybe it's just that there's a competitive atmosphere here as hairstylists go; I don't even know what accounts for it!

Congrats on your trip out! I'm always intrigued by people who enjoy time spent at the hairdresser's. I hope you'll post your haircut =)
The film seems very promising and I'll keep an eye out for it. Maybe you'll post a reminder...?
Wishes, hugs (very careful) and ibuprofen to you.

I find haircuts curiously relaxing, and I always have. I'm not sure why that is. I feel like I shed something, I guess, that I don't have to worry about for a while?

The lack of sleep is outright annoying. And the sleeping past 10am is, too, because many interesting things start happening online around 8am or so. Resetting the schedule is going to be somewhat tricky.

*hugs*
