In reflecting back on Wellesley, how did or didn't it shape you?

mieystrapurore Without my time at Wellesley, I sincerely doubt I would've ever:
* started submitting my writing to magazines and similar venues,
* taken up editing beyond dabbling in university literary institutions,
* come out to my family [as queer], which I did during grad school,
and the list goes on. The experience forced me to be honest with myself regarding who I really am and what pursuits are actually worth my time. I'm still working on the latter, but at least I know the former beyond the shadow of a doubt. It gave me courage.
