I got this from the excellent PBS show "Now," last Friday night, and haven't been able to put it out of my mind. I should have noted the set-up...I recall it as an exchange between an instructor and soldier-student in a military setting, but can't nail it down beyond that. Anyway, here it is:

Aren't you sweet to say so. And I love reading yours! -- I've been keeping up with everyone else, just not posting.
(Maybe I couldn't get over the fact that the Prexy apparently found my eight-part Iraq Study Group series unpersuasive. Rats! ;) )
