The entire 7.8 kilometre Rideau Canal is finally open for skating. I have no idea why i find this so exciting, it's just been so long since i've done any outdoor activity at all. I decided to skate home from class yesterday morning...there were a ton of people on the ice since it was the opening Saturday of the Winterlude festival. Like an idiot

You can do half of your commute to school (and back) on the canal, so there is that opportunity for daily conditioning.
The ice is nice in the early morn.

If you want to do the whole Winterlude can get us a sweet parking spot on Carleton's campus...
