I wish registries let you categorize things better. Like...an essentials list versus the secondary needs/wants list.

well I have what I feel is a pretty narrowed down list. Comparable to other baby registries I've seen mine is pretty modest...but there are even two groups of "essential" within the essential list, ha. Like you may need both, but might prefer one over the other and may want people to go for that item first. I wish there was a rating system, or if you could put them in order

or I guess a better way to put it is the difference between needed and just very useful. A stroller is very useful, but a car seat is needed, etc.

maybe you could start that family/pregnancy blog for your family to keep up with and put your needs/wants on there? You can have a side link that takes you to another page where you list the essentials and then have the link to the registry :)? I wished they had had that too when we registered for wedding stuff.

I actually already set up a website, I just haven't given out the link yet because the name we're using is on there and we haven't told anybody what name we decided ;) After this weekend we probably will since we're seeing both our families

It's totally out of the blue. Steve wasn't coming up with anything and I was trying to get him to, but everything he was saying I didn't like. Then he said "hey how about ____ " and I was like, "really? huh"...let it sink in and liked it, then liked even more that we both liked it and came up with something together. :)

ha, yeah, there are just 2. The main one is set up w/ babysrus, and there's one at target that has a just a few things that aren't really as important. They've been updated quite a bit, I've since narrowed it.
